Set amidst the rolling vineyards of the Languedoc and within view of a 13th-century château, Villa Vue du Château is a relaxed villa for families and groups set in a residential area on the edge of the little wine village of Margon.

Inside, the villa has been thoughtfully arranged to bring comfort and ease to group stays. The kitchen is both elegant and sociable, with a central island, cool tiled flooring and access to the garden terrace. The main living area feels just like home whilst doors slide open to the covered terrace for barbecues and long evenings accompanied by Languedoc wine. Both the kitchen and living area benefit from air-conditioning.

Five individually styled bedrooms are spread across two floors. The main floor is home to one double with a king-size bed, two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom. The lower floor features two further bedrooms, both with double beds and en suite showers. A games room with table tennis, Smart TV and gym equipment adds extra appeal – it’s a great space to chill out.

Meanwhile, long summer days can be spent stretched out by the private heated pool or gathered for meals beneath the covered dining terrace. The colourful Mediterranean garden offers pockets of shade and space to explore, with a boules court and many flowers. Whether you’re sipping a glass of local Picpoul or firing up the barbecue, every moment here allows you to feel truly relaxed.

The villa is just a five-minute stroll from the heart of Margon, a little wine-making village with a restaurant and weekly local produce vans. Excellent amenities are close at hand in Roujan and Magalas, just a short drive away, while the historic town of Pézenas and sandy Mediterranean beaches are within easy reach for day trips.

In a residential neighbourhood on the edge of the wine-making village of Margon, this fantastically located villa offers the perfect base to explore the Hérault region’s charm, culture and gorgeous landscapes. Surrounded by vineyards, it’s just a short stroll to the heart of Margon, where you’ll find a restaurant and weekly visits from pizza, cheese and fish vendors. Daily bread can even be arranged for delivery (to be booked in advance).

A short drive brings you to the nearby villages of Roujan and Pouzolles, each offering their own slice of authentic southern French life. Roujan features a well-stocked supermarket, bakery, restaurant and two café bars, while Pouzolles delights with its sleepy square, bakery and café-bar. For a wider selection of dining and shopping, head to Magalas (9km), Servian (8km) or the enchanting Pézenas (12km) whose famed historic Saturday morning market is a feast for the senses, brimming with regional produce, artisan goods and lively atmosphere.

History lovers will relish a visit to the 18th-century Cassan Abbey, a majestic former royal priory just a few minutes’ drive away. Nature beckons at the nearby lake in Vailhan (10km), a serene spot for walks or an indulgent meal at its acclaimed lakeside restaurant. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at Saint-Thomas Golf Course (18km), while families will find fun at Béziers' adventure and wildlife parks, all within easy reach.
