Three bathrooms, including one en-suite, provide comfort and privacy. Air-conditioning in four of the bedroom ensures cool respite after sun-soaked days.

Step outside and discover a terraced Mediterranean garden where flowers, lavender and Cypress trees frame the idyllic scene. The private heated pool, 11 by 4 metres with Roman steps, invites refreshing swims, while the dining terrace and shaded lounge areas are ideal for leisurely meals or evening apéritifs.

The village itself is small, authentic and surrounded by rolling countryside, yet not too remote. In summer, Brézilhac comes alive on Thursday evenings with a little night market with a beer and pizza van. Essentials, from boulangeries to bistros, are just 10 minutes away in Montréal and Belvèze, while the larger towns of Castelnaudary, Mirepoix and Limoux are within easy reach, each offering their own culinary and cultural pleasures.

In July and August, Brézilhac comes alive on Thursday evenings with a relaxed village market, complete with pizza and beer vans, perfect for an authentic, convivial night out.

Just 10 minutes by car, Montréal (8km) and Belvèze-du-Razès (6km) offer essential amenities including restaurants, café bars, a grocery store and an electric vehicle charger. Montréal’s small Super U is conveniently open on Sunday mornings, ideal for stocking up after you have arrived.

Slightly further afield, Bram (12km) and Castelnaudary (23km) provide larger supermarkets and additional facilities. Castelnaudary, the proud home of the iconic cassoulet, is well worth a visit for food lovers, who can sample this hearty regional speciality in its traditional setting. The nearby Canal du Midi adds further charm, with leisurely towpath walks, cycling routes and boat trips.

Carcassonne (26km) is an unmissable highlight. Its breathtaking medieval Cité, complete with ramparts, towers, lively squares and restaurants, offers a magical day out for both history enthusiasts and families.
