Recently renovated to a high standard, Chateau le Temple offers everything you could want for - it truly is French living at its best! The chateau is located just a short walk from the village of Le Temple sur Lot with its bar, epicerie, boulangerie and well known restaurant "The Commanderie". The location is tranquil and private, set in 11 acres of landscaped gardens.
The accommodation is plentiful and ideal for families. There is a well equipped kitchen with a lovely French pantry set into one of the towers, a large sitting room, a family room and a separate study.
All eight bedrooms have ensuites and are located on the first and second floor. For outdoor living, the salt-water pool is heated and the old "Sechoir" offers a dining terrace, summer kitchen and upstairs games room with table tennis, table football and pool.
The Chateau is set in the quiet countryside of the Lot-et-Garonne but is just a short walk into the village of Le Temple sur Lot where where you will find a boulangerie, bar, epicerie, and the "Commanderie" restaurant. There is also a small Tourist Office in the village where you will find details of all the activities and events that will be close by during your stay.
The River Lot has beaches, canoeing, sailing and other activities. The beach at Castelmoron in only 5 minutes away and an ideal place to visit with children. The Chateau is ideally positioned between 3 International Airports, making it an easy final destination.

Simple, straight forward booking process with Olivers Travels. We stayed at Château le Temple and it was spectacular. The property and grounds were beautiful, peaceful. The facilities for the kids were brilliant, the best we've come across as a large family - huge games room with massive TV, xbox, pool table, table tennis, air hockey, foosball. Trampoline, giant garden chess, connect 4 AND bikes!.. Not to mention the swimming pool too!! You absolutely need a car though to explore the beautiful towns and villages within an hours drive away. There's not much close by to the property itself, although we did dine at La Commanderie which was really nice - a short drive or 20 ish minute walk. Also we absolutely want to acknowledge the outstanding service provided by the property Managers, Laura and Ray. They live on site, without at all being intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble for them, we found them super friendly and very helpful. Places we would recommend visiting include Monflanquin, Monpazier, chateau Biron, Le Ranch Du Bel Air and canoeing/swimming in the river at castelmoron sur lot.

Rarely do holiday accommodations greatly exceed expectations but this one certainly did. Extremely well equipped, furnished and maintained to the highest standard. Delightful, spacious rooms. Set peacefully amongst extensive gardens and fruit trees. Many, many positives including heated swimming pool, wonderful barbecue facility and games room. Alicia, the welcoming Chateau manager (discretely based in a separate building) provides expert local knowledge and is happy to prepare professional quality meals if required. A wonderful holiday enjoyed by all.
