Villa La Prima enjoys a privileged position just a short drive or leisurely 2km walk from the charming coastal town of Saint-Florent. In a region of rugged hills, vineyards, fragrant maquis, remote trails and mountain vistas, this area offers a wonderful base for experiencing the wild natural beauty and idyllic beaches of northeastern Corsica.
The villa is in a partially residential area on the edge of Saint-Florent, approximately 700m on foot from the sea. It’s around a 30-minute walk to the historic town’s marina, partly walking along a paved promenade by the sea. Saint-Florent is often described as the “Saint-Tropez of Corsica”, yet it retains an authentic, laid-back character. Its picturesque marina is lined with cafés and restaurants where you can enjoy fresh seafood while watching boats drift in and out of the harbour. Wander through the old town’s narrow streets to discover little shops and historic sites, including the 15th-century citadel overlooking the bay.
Just beyond the town, Plage de la Roya (approximately 4km) offers a long stretch of sand with calm waters, ideal for a leisurely beach day and a range of summer watersports. Closer to home (around 1km on foot), a wilder beach awaits with a mix of sand and pebbles, perfect for a morning swim and a great way to escape the summer crowds of other coastal spots.
