About this property

Say ‘yassou’ to two-bedroomed Villa Roderigo, a charming Mediterranean bungalow on Cyprus’ southwest coast. Think generously-sized rooms, a private swimming pool and tranquil landscaped grounds next to banana fields – all within a short 5-minute’ drive of the renowned Coral Bay with its friendly local restaurants and long stretch of sandy beach. Whether you want to relax, top up your tan or enjoy an action-packed holiday, this popular part of Paphos has something for you.

The traditionally Cypriot-styled villa is complete with whitewashed walls and terracotta-tiled roofs, with green-hued shutters adding an extra pop of colour. When you’re not whiling the afternoon away on one of the cushioned sun loungers by the swimming pool or splashing about in the cooling waters, you can curl up under the shade of the pergola with your favourite holiday read. The villa boasts a stone barbeque and al fresco dining table too, so mealtimes are a real treat.

Inside, the comfort continues … there’s an open-plan living, kitchen and dining room with everything you’ll need for a home-from-home stay. Feature fireplace? Check. Plush sofas? Check. Indoor dining table and modern amenities like a television, toaster and oven? Check. Check. Check. The villa also benefits from Wi-Fi – so, you can keep your friends and family updated on your adventures – as well as air conditioning for when you need a break from the warm Cyprus sun.

With two bedrooms – one en-suite double and one twin – Villa Roderigo is perfect for small families or couples. Both rooms are light and airy and have plenty of wardrobe space for storing your holiday attire. There’s also another bathroom so that you won’t be fighting over the shower in the morning. If you want to go exploring, Coral Bay centre calls. There, you can sip cold coffee (or cocktails) in one of the cafes or head to the coast for water sports like jet skiing. For the foodies and culture lovers, Paphos centre with its historic castle, traditional tavernas and UNESCO sites is your go to.

Villa Roderigo is in Coral Bay, a popular holiday spot in Paphos on Cyprus’s southwest coast. The area is known for its sandy swimming beaches, exciting archaeological sites and beautiful natural scenery. The town is also home to an excellent choice of restaurants from traditional tavernas serving moussaka and souvlaki to international options like Italian, Chinese and steakhouses.

Paphos has been inhabited since Neolithic times so that you can expect several interesting sites relating to the Greek goddess Aphrodite. There’s the Baths of Aphrodite with a natural waterfall and pool you can swim in and Aphrodite Rock. For more cultural exploring, the restaurant-fronted harbour with Paphos Castle, an ancient Byzantine fort is a great choice. And so are the ancient ruins of tombs, fortresses, theatres at Paphos Archaeological Park. Ibrahim Kahn, Paphos Old Town with its boutique shops and artisans also shouldn’t be missed. Think hand-crafted mosaics, jewellery and artwork – the perfect place to purchase souvenirs.

Looking for beaches instead? Coral Bay, a sandy strip dotted with sun loungers is an excellent choice. There’s a small café there built into the hillside, and it’s also a short walk from Coral Bay centre with cafes, shops and restaurants. Quieter Geroskipou beach has a human-made barrier that you can swim to, and it’s just down the road. Getting there, you’ll pass Paphos Water Park.

For sports enthusiasts, Paphos offers a variety of water sports like sea kayaking and jet skiing and has three golf courses. Plus, you can go horse riding, cycling or hiking in the nearby countryside – the Akamas Peninsula and Troodos mountains are popular choices. If you’re travelling in the winter, Troodos also hosts four ski slopes and is an excellent place to pick up delicious honey-coated nuts.

Scuba diver? Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, you can head to top dive sites like Coral Bay harbour, St. Georges Island and St. Georges harbour. At the latter, there’s a small sandy beach you can relax on, caves for you to explore and a restaurant overlooking the water. From there, you could also visit the Sea Caves in Peyia. Enjoy a walk along the cliffs, swim and snorkel or sunbathe on the rocks. At night, sip cocktails at the café there (Oniro) and enjoy views of the Edro III shipwreck.
