Sea views are available from each bedroom and each also boasts its own balcony, a wonderful way to start the day with some fresh air, a meditation, cup of tea or a journaling session.

There are numerous sandy and pebbled beaches for days of luxuriating and swimming, and the gentle pace of village life is enjoyable to take in. You’re also very close to Trogir, an old town registered with unesco. From here you can enjoy the unique architectural melee and pretty cathedrals and castles that make this area so inviting. If you want to get a taste of culture, art and history, you’ll find that here.

You may also wish to explore nearby Marinska Kula, a tower built in the 15th century to defend the channel between the marina and mainland.  The village of Marina’s beach front is the best place to venture for a swim if you’re so inclined.

Krknjasi Bay, or Blue Lagoon as it’s otherwise known, can be walked to, although the walk itself is long. Visiting by car is best. Swimming shoes are advised due to the rocky terrain but the water itself is the selling point for those who enjoy swimming and snorkelling – its beautiful translucent water can be hard to replicate elsewhere. It’s also a wonderful area to explore by boat.

For those intrigued by fishing, there are many fishing expeditions, with Seget Nautica Boat Tours being a great agent. Kayaking is also recommended, anything that gets you closer to that water!

You may also choose to visit further afield and head to Split, with its endless opportunities for art, history, culture and food, as well as its beautiful waterfront, a perfect spot for people watching and allowing the world to go by.
