Nearby Trsteno is well worth visiting, especially for the famous Trsteno Arboretum, one of the oldest in Europe. Set across more than 25 hectares, the gardens are known for their coastal views, stone pathways and historic sculptures, and are also recognised as a filming location from Game of Thrones.

For dining, nearby Orašac (around 6km away) offers a good choice of restaurants, from Mediterranean seafood and pasta to grilled meats and family-friendly menus. Dubrovnik Old Town is also within easy reach and makes a great day out, with its medieval walls, lively squares, museums and pedestrian streets lined with cafés, shops and local eateries.
