Inside the main house, the imaginative decor transports you to a different time and place. Ornate drapes and distinctive accent pieces exude history and romance. Each of the four en-suite bedrooms has been tastefully furnished and outside, the adjoining self-contained cottage offers an additional bedroom and poolside view.

For a bit of ‘peace & quite’ guests will be happy to know that Calliaqua offers two guests the luxury of sleeping in a private cottage, which is detached from the main villa. This cottage has King bed and a en-suite shower room.

Barbados lies on the boundary of the Caribbean and South American continental plates making it unlike any other Caribbean Island. Within the core of the island, made up mainly of coral sediment, numerous caves and underground lakes can be found. Arguably the most famous of these is Harrison’s Cave; a network of caves, waterfalls, pools and fantastic stalagmites and stalactites.

Guests at Calliaqua will have full use of Sugar Hill’s extensive facilities, including a clubhouse, large pool, air conditioned gym and a Tennis Centre featuring 4 floodlit courts, with coaching available at an additional cost. Sugar Hill also benefits from a security controlled entrance and 24 hour security patrols.

Guests also have access to the exclusive members area at the delightful Fairmont Royal Pavilion Beach Club and offers a selection of water sports, including water skiing, hobie cat sailing, kayaking, boat trips and swimming with turtles. Royal Westmoreland Beach Club is nearby and also offers sun beds, a private beach deck, restaurant/ Beach bar and spa facilities. In addition Guests at Calliaqua are close to Royal Westmoreland world class championship golf course which is a few minutes drive away.
