The magnificent Nelson’s Dockyard National Park can be reached within forty-five minutes by car. One of five national parks in Antigua, this cultural treasure is located on the island’s southern coastline. Listed as a unesco World Heritage site, the eighteenth-century British naval dockyard is an area of great historical significance on the island, as well as a popular venue for maritime events and activities. For those who wish to experience the magic for themselves, there are plenty of sailing excursions and water-based activities available.

Antigua boasts a variety of fantastic trekking trails, situated around the island and taking in sandy beaches, lush rainforests and dreamlike coastal views. For a challenging day out, put on your hiking shoes and visit Mount Obama, the highest peak in Antigua.
