Most guests found Chapel Rest to be clean and well-maintained, though a few reported issues with cleanliness such as sticky floors and cobwebs, suggesting room for improvement.

The property's central location in Bowness is consistently lauded, with guests loving the easy access to shops, cafes, and tourist attractions.

Guests generally find the property comfortable, with spacious rooms and good quality bedding. However, some guests noted issues with mattresses and a lack of blackout blinds affecting sleep quality.

The property is well-equipped, but some guests reported minor maintenance issues such as problems with the dishwasher and light bulbs needing replacement. The well-equipped kitchen and reliable WiFi are positives.

While many reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

Very central for Bowness and a lovely quiet base for our exploration walks . Only thing we missed was the accomodation not having a freezer ,even a small one would have been useful but apart from that everything else was perfect . Thank you for a lovely stay .

The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the living area comfortable. We enjoyed how close the restaurants were, and how easy to walk to the main pier., We enjoyed our stay and recommend the place to visit Bowness on Windermere. There are a lot of stairs so visitors with mobility might have an issue.

Clean and comfortable. Only tiny issue was that the fridge door didn’t close without wedging a door stop in it. Fantastic location in the town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as first time visitors to the Lakes.
