Guests say

Barn Owl Cottage in Pateley Bridge is praised for its beautiful setting, spaciousness, and warm welcome from hosts Jenny and Johnny. Guests appreciate the cottage's cleanliness, tasteful decoration, and ideal location for walks and exploring the Yorkshire Dales. While some minor issues with facilities are mentioned, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as spotless and well-maintained. This consistent praise across reviews suggests a very high standard of cleanliness.

The location is frequently described as beautiful and ideal for exploring the Dales and enjoying local walks. Its proximity to Pateley Bridge and scenic surroundings contribute to a high score, despite one mention of windows overlooking a shed.

Comfort is highlighted with mentions of warm rooms, comfy sofas, and beds. However, a few guests found the sofas uncomfortable and mentioned poor lighting, which slightly lowers the score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample amenities. Some guests noted issues with internet reliability, lighting, and a lack of certain kitchen items, which affects the score.

While guests mention a warm welcome and a guest pack on arrival, there are no consistent references to gifts or special thoughtful touches that can be guaranteed for future guests. Therefore, this score is set to null.

Took our dog to get away from the fireworks and it was perfect. Only a 20 minute walk into Pateley Bridge and its lovely shops and eateries. Jenny the owner was really helpful and on hand if you needed anything but not obtrusive. The cottage had everything we needed and we would definitely return. Fantastic stay, thank you

Jenny very friendly and went beyond expectations in sorting another table for our crafting. Our second time here and hopefully will return in future.
