Sennen Cove, Cornwall lies at the centre of Whitesand Bay which, with its mile-long expanse of sand and sea, is the perfect location for that beach holiday or for riding the surf! Just a stone’s throw away from the lifeboat station, in the heart of this charming fishing village, lies Pilchard Cottage and this fabulous property makes the ideal centre for a family holiday on the Cornish coast. With the first floor boasting a master bedroom with a private terrace and downstairs an expansive games room, this dwelling is ideal for staying in or venturing out to explore Cornwall's finest attractions. As you step into the property, there is a spacious hallway with plenty of room for outdoor wear, and a handy ground-floor shower room for you to rinse off after a sandy day at the beach. You will also discover a marvellous games room complete with a screen for the Wii games console, table football and a good selection of interesting books and fun board games. Arranged on the second floor, the open plan living room boasts far-reaching coastal views over Sennen Cove and a wood burner for cosy winter breaks plus, after a sociable meal around the chunky dining table, you can sit and watch the sun go down out to sea. In the warmer months, open the french doors and enjoy morning coffee on the seaward-facing balcony which also gives a ringside seat when either the Sennen in-shore or Tamar class lifeboats launch. The well-equipped kitchen leads to the south-facing rear patio with its garden furniture and a chance to sit out and soak up the sun so that you can make the most of those warm summer days with breakfast on the terrace and lunch out on the enclosed rear patio. All that Sennen Cove has to offer, including the popular Old Success Inn, two cafes, fish and chip shop, general store and the iconic Round House art gallery, are within a short stroll. There is no better place to learn to surf than at one of the two surf schools, one of which is located right on the beach. Hike from the doorstep along the magnificent Southwest coast path and discover towering clifftops and golden sandy beaches. The town offers more shops and pubs along with a town hall, a church, and a theatre dating back to medieval times. The dramatic coastlines are not to be missed when visiting the area; you can enjoy a plethora of water sports and tranquil walks both in Sennen Cove and the surrounding towns and villages.
