The property is situated off a private drive located in unspoiled countryside.

The Well House is a romantic, unique and cosy retreat for two, located at the end of a private drive and situated in rolling, unspoilt countryside. The owners have kept much of the property's period details to offer a holiday home that’s unlike any other. The 40-foot-deep Well with its glass top is a fascinating central feature that doubles up as the dining table with lights, illuminating the very depths of the Well. There’s also a cosy wood-burning stove set in an original brick fireplace and plenty of original exposed timbers and brickwork. Full height windows let the light flood in and ancient, fortified doors open out to your own outside space with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue.

The cottage is set on a four acre estate and guests have access to an orchard with pear, apple and olive trees. There are plenty of walks a short distance from The Well House, including the famous Monarch’s Way footpath that approximates Charles II’s escape route following the Battle of Worcester.

The grounds are shared with two other properties, Crossbrook Farm (sleeps six) and The Chapel (sleeps two) which can be booked individually or together for the potential of sleeping ten guests.

The owners can organise a private chef for that extra special occasion; and guests can also enjoy pre-booked beauty treatments including luxurious facials and back massages using the Tropic skincare range at the on-site Wellness Suite, along with wellness sessions such as yoga and breath work (booking ahead essential). Crossbrook Farm Historic Estate can also organise a variety of day events such as retreat days for groups of up to 12 people which can include a variety of activities including yoga, breathwork, energy alignment and nutritional talks. Corporate events for businesses wishing to hold strategic away days or well-being events for staff including treatments in our wellness suite, skincare and healthcare talk and exercise classes can also be accommodated.

There are plenty of walks a short distance from The Well House, including the famous Monarch’s Way footpath that approximates Charles II’s escape route following the Battle of Worcester. The famous Tardebigge Flight, the longest flight of canal locks in the UK, is less than a mile away. Located approximately one mile away is the village of Aston Fields which comes alive in the evening with fabulous Italian and Indian restaurants, an American bistro providing authentic street food and the finest craft beers and cocktails, Wine Bar, Ladybird Public House and a restaurant linked to their adjoining butchers shop serving locally sourced dishes. Aston Fields also benefits from a recently opened railway station with regular services across the Midlands and beyond.

The driveway to The Well House features a stream which runs alongside the access drive and runs into a culvert.

Please be aware, the Well is not designed to accommodate the load of a person, therefore under no circumstances are guests to stand on or place heavy items on the well cover.
