This delightful, semi-detached cottage sits in a splendid location overlooking Low Hauxley beach, 1.5 miles south of the busy fishing port of Amble. The cottage is situated on the National Coast and Castles cycle route, so why not spend a day touring the superb castles of this historic area? On sunnier days, simply open the door and within a minute you will be on a beautiful Northumberland beach, so take the windbreak, dogs, children and a picnic and your day is sorted! To the north, the busy fishing village of Amble is easily accessible, with an array of pubs, restaurants and takeaways all serving good food and beverages. This beachside cottage is perfectly positioned for anyone wishing to visit the Heritage Coast and the surrounding area. Visit historic Warkworth Castle, just two miles away, take a leisurely drive to the coastal villages of Craster and Alnmouth, or explore popular Alnwick with its imposing castle. An excellent cottage for a seaside break.
The hamlet of Low Hauxley is situated at the northern end of Druridge Bay on the Northumberland coastline. Low Hauxley is situated less than two miles away from the seaside port of Amble, which offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches, shops, pubs, restaurants and coastal walks, and within reach are the coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster, along with Warkworth and Alnwick.

It is cosy, has everything you need for an holiday and has a truly traditional ambience. Weather was inclement but we still had walks on the beach as it is just across the road â¦.and stretched for miles. The beds are very comfortable and we slept really well because the village is tucked away on an access only road. We agreed our stay had been truly magical and a return stay is a must.

Minor issue is that the Sofas in the lounge are a little well worn. Cinty has ensured that the facilities in the cottage especially in the kitchen are excellent. Thereâs nothing you could wish for that isnât available. It was a nice touch on arrival to find a cheese board, coffee for the cafetière and fresh eggs from her own hens. The cottage is situated in an excellent area for exploring Northumberland and we even went up to the Scottish Borders. All told we had a lovely week.

The house was perfect for our stay. Upon arrival a lovely cheese board and wine welcome gift. We took the opportunity to light the log burner most evenings! The house was clean, comfortable and plenty of room. Met a few local residents who were very welcoming. Beautiful walks straight from the door step. Lots of eateries in Amble were dog friendly. Great communication from the owner. Great cottage and would happily recommend.
