Boasting excellent views of the surrounding area, Hemmel @ Westfield Steading can be found on the edge of the popular village of Seahouses. This property also has a lovely enclosed garden and patio area for guests to enjoy.
The Hemmel is the former stables at Westfield… a beautiful barn conversion with exposed roof trusses, stone walls and wood burning stove. The Hemmel offers outstanding holiday accommodation for six guests looking for a touch of luxury in a lovely seaside location. Interiors are sociable and spacious with open plan living, perfect for a coastal escape at any time of year… the underfloor heating keeps the property cosy whatever the season.
This spacious cottage has a wonderful courtyard and garden with uninterrupted sea views towards the Farne Islands. It’s just a short walk into the village of Seahouses for local shops, pubs and cafes and the beach is within easy reach too… about a mile away.
The Hemmel is a great base for exploring this beautiful area - visit the Farne Islands to observe the seabirds and the colony of Grey Seals. 3 miles north is the impressive Bamburgh Castle which clings to a rocky outcrop, and it’s just 5 miles to Holy Island and Lindisfarne (accessible at low tide along the causeway). Just south of Seahouses is Beadnell Bay with its unique west facing harbour for sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving. Good golfing (0,.5 miles), fishing and horse riding available locally.

Beds: 1 x super king size bed, 1 x double bed, 1 x twin beds, can be configured into super king size on request.

Utility/boot room/cloakroom: washer, dryer, Belfast sink, WC.
Living room: arched windows, sofa seating, WiFi, Freeview TV, wood burning stove, door to garden.
Bedroom 1: super king size bed.
Ensuite: shower, WC, wash hand basin.
Bedroom 2: twin beds, can be made into super king bed on request.
Bedroom 3: double bed.
Bathroom: bath, walk in shower, WC, wash hand basin.
Entertainment: WiFi, Freeview TV and DVD.
For families: Cot and a highchair can be hired - please provide your own cot linen and towels @ £10.00 per week per item.
Outside: enclosed garden patio area.
Parking: two off road parking spaces.
General: WiFi. Bedding (duvets per bed & 2 pillows per person), bed linen, towels (hand & bath sheet per person, plus bathroom hand towels). Underfloor heating. October-March initial supply of logs, kindling and matches. Welcome Pack : tea, coffee, sugar, milk, locally baked bread and cake, preserve and butter.
Pets: sorry, no pets.
Please note: no smoking. If you require twin beds, please state at the time of booking. If you wish to accommodate more than 6 people, the neighbouring Stables sleeps 2, Steading Cottage sleeps 4, and opposite the Cartshed also sleeps 4.
