Lovely small apartment with a wonderful log burner, superb views and a good location if you have transport. Lovely and light with a small rock/hill behind which helped with keeping the weather from behind being an issue, in fact, one morning had 5 deer feeding on it. Views over to sea and, to the right, the Island of Ulva were lovely in any light so photo's taken look impressive.Hosts were lovely and informative and made us feel very welcome. From the cottage a walk to the Ulva Ferry only took 20-30 mins and the nearest place to shop was a car jouney away but the shop in Dervaig was well stocked with most groceries we needed and extremly friendly. The Salen shop had slighly more choice. Most shops are a 25 min car journey away and that is because the roads are small-ish and driving fast is not an option or encouraged-hey, with the amazing scenery, why would you?Saw great places with wildlife, not necessarily close up so a pair of binoculars (which we forgot but bought a reasonably priced pair from Browns in Tobermorey) are a must. Otters we did see some in Loch na Keal on the far side from entering the bay from the Cottage and we were lucky to see one feeding on a fish on the rocks in front of us (from a safe distance and it's important to not disturb them or make them skittish).Have been to Mull before and it snowed when we left - no snow this trip but, make sure your car and tyres can handle a bit of snow on hilly roads! Most hills steep sections have Grit bins but, it's worth knowing in the Winter.Had an amazing Winter week's break and will no doubt be back again to see all the things we ran out of time for this trip. And again, big thanks to our hosts who were so helpful.
