Overwater Lodge is a beautifully appointed cottage in a tranquil, rural setting with stunning views and abundant wildlife. Guests consistently praise the peaceful location, well-equipped kitchen, and spacious, cosy interiors. The property offers a true escape from modern distractions, with limited mobile signal and no WiFi, encouraging quality time together. While a few guests noted minor maintenance issues and occasional chilly temperatures, these did not detract from an otherwise delightful stay. The welcome touches and responsive host were appreciated, making this an ideal spot for a relaxing Lake District getaway.
Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, with only one mention of sofa cleanliness as an area for improvement. The overall impression is of a tidy and well-maintained cottage.
The location is widely praised for its peace, seclusion, and beautiful countryside views. Guests enjoyed the proximity to nature, walking routes, and local towns, though some noted the remoteness and lack of nearby shops.
Guests described the cottage as cosy, spacious, and comfortable, with special mention of the views and relaxing atmosphere. A few found the downstairs shower cramped or the house chilly on arrival, but these were minor points.
The kitchen is well-equipped and the house has good amenities, but some guests experienced issues with heating, the oven, and unclear information packs. The lack of WiFi and mobile signal is noted, but often seen as a positive for a digital detox.
Several guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as a welcome box and responsive hosting. Please note that such gifts or extras are not guaranteed for every stay.

A property with fantastic views Weather was fab. Downstairs shower was a long way from the bedrroom. Had to go to a pub or hotel for a phone signal. As there were no shops nearby it would have been helpful for basic starter pack. It was a relaxing property

No complaints. Lovely cottage.

Nice well equipped cottage in a lovely peaceful location. Took some adjusting to not having wifi or being able to use our mobile phones. Could run and walk from the door without lots of traffic or people.
