Lovely cottage and well situated for towns and New Forrest. The cottage is a good size but in need of a some TLC, water pressure in the main bathroom was low on the bath taps and the taps could do with a descale. I know it is a dog friendly property but the smell of dogs was a little overwhelming downstairs, we stayed there 2 years ago and was not that bad.

We’ve stayed at Bert’s cottage on a number of occasions. It’s an ideal base for exploring Fordingbridge and its surroundings and, indeed, the New Forest generally. This time we stopped for the Christmas week and did our traditional Boxing Day walk over the Avon valley to Wood Green with fine views of the river then on to Breamore and its Anglo-Saxon church. It was very pleasant to return to the cosy and comfortable cottage for a relaxed evening meal.Fordingbridge itself is a bustling small town well equipped with shops and cafes if you just want to hang out there.Highly recommended.

Very welcoming and bigger than expected with 3 large bedrooms and good size well equipped kitchen to be fully self sufficient if you want to be.Useful enclosed garden for kids/dogs and easy walking access to local shops, pubs etc. Good vehicle parking and access to the New Forest and coast is very easy for days out.
