Guests say

Guests have had a delightful experience at Farrow, praising its excellent location, cleanliness, and the luxury of a hot tub. The property offers a peaceful setting with beautiful countryside views, and is well-placed for exploring local seaside towns. The hosts are commended for their friendliness and thoughtfulness, with special mentions of welcome gifts. Some minor maintenance issues and comfort improvements are suggested, but overall, the cottage is highly recommended for a relaxing stay.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few guests noted areas where cleanliness could be improved, such as under the sofas and the state of the quilts.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, beautiful scenery, and convenience for visiting local attractions and coastal towns. It is also appreciated for its proximity to walking and cycling routes.

Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the excellent shower and spaciousness. Some guests suggested that the beds could be more comfortable and the sofas could be updated for better comfort.

Facilities like the hot tub, well-equipped kitchen, and ample parking are appreciated. However, some guests reported issues with the TV, heating, and a need for better guides for the white goods. Maintenance concerns such as a broken washing line and partially working hot tub jets were also mentioned.

While many guests mentioned and appreciated the thoughtful touches like milk, biscuits, and cakes upon arrival, there is not enough information to guarantee such gifts for future guests. Therefore, while the thoughtfulness is acknowledged, it cannot be assured for all stays.

The property is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The owners have obviously put a lot of thought into the furnishings and equipment and it shows. We would highly recommend this cottage and the hot tub was a well received bonus. We will be booking this again.

Wellies required for the short walk to the Cinder Track, but well worth it to then be able to walk to anywhere between Scarborough and Whitby!

Disappointed that nothing has been done to update the property. Biggest sofa is still broken one end. Cushions are flat as pancakes. Toilet seat moves to one side. Could do with a coat of paint all round. Garden has overgrown edges of nettles, thistles, brambles. I understand the wish for conservation but the place is surrounded by fields anyway. Not very good for younger children. Washing line was broken so we had to do a quick repair. Used the hot tub but only one side of the jets were working. These are only small niggles but we all had the impression that the owners are not really bothered about doing anything to the property or garden.
