As you drive north across the middle of the hill, steep valleys are just out of sight on each side. The nearby village of Hutton-Le-Hole has a complex of craft shops, workshops, tea rooms and gift shops to visit, or the attractive old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering; a charming place with a slightly 'old fashioned feel'.

Beautiful, peaceful and super comfortable. Loved the secure garden so safe for our little dogs. Very comfortable bed with choice of pillows. In keeping with the name “Hen House” so many quirky little reminders around the cottage. Fabulous host who checked in on us twice but left us to enjoy our week stay. Beautiful location, breath taking views and a great pub a few doors away too. Thoroughly recommended. We will be back.
