"The apartment is on the ground floor of what appears to be a grand house overlooking the main A827 Aberfeldy road and the river Tay. However, drive around the rear into the car park and the ground floor now becomes what is essentially a basement, because the house is built into the hillside. To access the apartment one must now pass down 12 rather steep steps into a passageway formed of the back of the building and an 8 foot retaining wall which supports the car park (my wife actually joked that one could do an underside check of the car from here!). The alternative is to walk back to the other end of the car park where it flattens out and back again down the passageway. To enter the apartment one now passes through a scruffy, gloomy entrance passage.Inside, an extremely spacious lounge/dining area offers beautiful views of the hills beyond the river Tay, and at first appeared to be comfortably furnished with ample seating for 7-8 people. However, appearances were deceptive as over the course of the week the seating proved to be anything but comfortable. At the rear of the apartment the kitchen and both bedrooms faced onto the aforementioned retaining wall and were as a consequence very gloomy, not helped by the fact that they face north. The kitchen was well equipped but was not as clean as we would have expected i.e. the toaster was full of crumbs which had spread out onto the work surface and under the microwave. The taps over the sink are difficult to turn on and off.But the worst offender of the week has to be the double bed, which we agreed is possibly the worst bed we have ever slept in. Both my wife and I found getting comfortable difficult and woke up most mornings with backache.Other than more stiff taps over the sink we found the bathroom to be of a good standard.Taken individually each of these points would be a minor niggle, but when combined they became a major issue which meant that returning to our 'home from home' was not the happy experience it should have been."

"Booked this for the annual family get together for 7 of us and 2 dogs. Cottage is in a fantastic location next to the river with views across the countryside. It's very modern inside with loads of space for us all and we loved the open plan ground floor with the bi-folding doors. It was very clean and warm. The owner met us on arrival and gave us a tour which was a nice touch. The furnishings are very comfy and the fire is great at night time. There is a walk along the river from the field at the back of the house which was great for the dogs as, apart from the sheep in the field at the house, the rest were fenced in. We also saw Red Kites. At night there is no light pollution so the stars look amazing. The house is perfectly situated for exploring the area. Kirriemuir is 10mins away and Forfar a little further. It took us just over half an hour to get to Lunan Bay which is a stunning beach. The Cairngorms provide the backdrop of the north view from the house and it only takes 30 - 40 mins to get to Glen Clova or Glen Doll where there are several walks, as well as access to the Cairngorm Plateau. Braemar was about 1hr and 15mins where we explored more walks and bagged a Munro. The house was perfect for us. Beautiful rural setting but close to shops and towns should we need it but likewise not far from areas where you can just spend the day walking and enjoying nature. The pub up the road does excellent food and has a steak night on Tuesdays."

"We've just returned from a week in the cottage, which sleeps up to four in two bedrooms - we were a smaller group of 3 + one dog. We chose this property for the location in a village with good amenities, as well as the secure entrance yard. We also had planned to travel with another couple, who would take the adjoining cottage, so this setting would work really well for a bigger group who wanted to maintain someone privacy or separate space. The village is beautiful and you have two parks, village shop, excellent butchers and two pubs within easy walking of the cottage. With small log burner, lots of space in the cottage lounge and dining spaces and two good sized bedrooms, this was a great choice for us. One long corridor connects all the spaces which gives lots of room for shoes, hanging space for coats. There was a great selection of DVDs fot cosy movie nights in and books to read. The parking space behind the cottage was perfect for us, even though the road nearby is quite quiet.Location is really well connected for travelling the area, visiting the Cairngorms, St Andrews, Pitlochry, Stirling, etc. and regular trains from Cupar (5miles away) mean you can choose not to drive. We’ll definitely be back again - a week wasn't long enough to see everything! :)"

"S22966 is a lovely cottage on a working farm about 3 miles from the Village of Tealing and about 5 miles north of Dundee. It is immaculately furnished and equipped to the highest standard. The owners are a very welcoming and friendly couple and some home baked bread, eggs from their own hens and a lovely bottle of wine greeted us on arrival. We found the cottage to be very clean, comfortable and cosy! The nearest shop (Morrison's) is on the road to Dundee and there is no local pub or restaurant so we made the very most of the well kitted out kitchen. We were there to visit the golf at Carnoustie and the cottage could not have been in a better location for access to The Open. We also visited Perth on the train from Dundee, Glamis Castle a few miles north of Tealing, The Frigate Unicorn in Dundee and St Andrews and Crail on various days out. all within easy reach and on excellent roads. We would love to return to S22966 and hope to do so!"

"Wonderful time in a wonderful cottage. Location is great (assuming you have a car). It's close to Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, Kenmore and other places you will want to visit. Logierait is a lovely setting. We went to the Logierait Inn for dinner on the last evening, looks a bit tatty on the outside, food though was excellentPtlochry is five miles away and has Tourist Info, Co-op, everything you may need. Aberfeldy also has a smaller Co-opCottage itself was excellent. Lovely large room at the front overlooking the river and hills. Well equipped kitchen. We had our two young girls who can't help make loads of noise at unsociable times of the morning, though had no complaints from neighbours. Only reason I don't give 10 overall is I'm over 6ft and would prefer a King Size bed!Best recommendation I can give is that we'd be happy to go back next year"
