    Holiday Cottages in Ceredigion

Once a minor kingdom, known historically as Cardiganshire, today Ceredigion includes several towns both inland and along the Cardigan Bay coast. The 60-mile stretch of Cardigan Bay coast sits along the Welsh Coastal Path, perfect to explore by foot. Dolphins are often spotted off Ceredigion’s beaches and if you want to get a closer look, there are many boat tour companies to choose from.

Further inland, take a short break in one of Ceredigion’s market towns, visit a woodland village or explore one of the few remote wilderness areas still in existence in the UK – the Cambrian Mountains. The primary settlements in Ceredigion lie around the edges of its wild moorland plateau with varied landscapes — spanning lakes, dense forests, wildlife havens and archaeological areas of interest.

Ceredigion holiday cottages have something for everyone, so no matter what you’re looking for, you’ll find it here. Choose between woodland getaways, traditional seaside breaks or an active sporting holiday. With thousands of homes listed on Snaptrip throughout the UK, all backed by our best price guarantee, you're sure to find your next break. Need some help? What our customers say about their holidays

    • Cherry - Verified booking

Very soon after booking the cottage, I had contact from Digby and Penny, the hosts, with valuable information and directions to assist in finding them.

They met us on arrival and proceeded to offer helpful local information - a very friendly couple. On entering the cottage, we were very impressed with the thoughtful welcome pack, and being Easter it was themed accordingly. Ty Barcud was a spotlessly clean, cosy, atmospheric cottage, with a lovely log burner, already laid for us to use on our first night, the radiators were very efficient too. The kitchen was very well equipped with a cooker, microwave, fridge and full size freezer, not to mention all of the utencils, baking equipment and crockery including serving dishes. The beds were lovely and comfy and we all slept well. The bed linen, towels and soft furnishings around the cottage were all good quality. The wifi signal was good, despite the remote location and using the internet was easy. There were reading books and games to use, as well as bincolulars, everything had been thought about. Simply, it was 'home from home'. The cottage has its own safely enclosed dog friendly garden - sitting on the patio was a delight to watch and listen to the many bird species on the feeders, in a tranquil setting, so relaxing. The property grounds are extensive and guests are welcome to walk around at leisure, enjoying the countryside views, besides being able to use a safely enclosed area, with a picnic bench which can be found on a high point in one of the properties fields, a peaceful place to enjoy the views. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the roads are not busy, making travelling to the local towns easy. This entire experience definitely exceeded our expectations, there was nothing that we could fault, or that could have been done better. We will return without hesitation.

We are a family of four, with two young children and a dog and we had a lovely week at Glyn cottage.

There is lots to do around the area, with lots of beaches and coastline to explore. We had a boat trip in New Quay, mountain biking and kite feeding at the Arian red kite centre and the silver mine experience were all a hit with the kids. The cottage is nice a spacious, very clean, and newly appointed. It has a utility room with washer and dryer which is great after a days on the beach or mountain biking. The hot tub is a great bonus, the kids loved it. The tub was immaculate, and the owners check the tub daily. There is a bbq with charcoal, firelighters, etc provided and outdoor seating. The cottage has ample parking with a very secure front garden. The wifi is all good, with a sky box and a good size smart TV. There is a log burner which is ready to go with lots of kindling and log’s provided, although being a heatwave we didn’t use it! The bathroom has a nice powerful shower and a dragon guarding the loo roll. It’s a dog friendly cottage with dog bowls and treats provided, as mention before the front garden is very secure with good fencing. The rear garden is also fenced with double gates for access. All in all a great place to stay.

On arrival we were greeted by Digby and Penny who were both very friendly and most helpful.

Penny took us into the cottage which was quite beautiful and immaculately clean. There were all the facilities that you could possibly need and they had also provided a welcome bas ket with coffee tea, biscuits etc.We would see Digby and Penny every day but in spite of being obviously busy they would always find time to say hello and have a little chat,in fact on a couple of days Penny did some baking and gave us some of her flapjacks - lovely!!! You are very lucky to have Digby and Penny in your employ,I've stayed in a few places in my time but can quite truthfully say that they are by far the best hosts I have seen. Now I don't know if you show this to Digby and Penny but if you don't will you please give them a big thank you from myself and Cindy for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable- thank you from fred and Cindy

We stayed at Ty Barcud for a week.

We were met by our hosts who gave us a warm, informative welcome. They looked after us all week, nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is extremely well equipped with quality fixtures and fittings, dog friendly with practical ideas such as torches and walking boot trays. The private garden is enclosed and bird feeders were well stocked. The welcome basket was a nice touch, including dog biscuits. We found Ty Barcud to be spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable and cosy. The log burner was a delight! The cottage is in a peaceful, tranquil location, surrounded by beautiful views, the only sounds being birdsong and sheep! There is plenty of local dog walking, including the owners' fields and a wood nearby. Further afield there are Forestry Commission walks and plenty of beaches within a 30-60 minutes drive. What a gem!

We are just back from The Stable and very happy with our little holiday.

I booked the stable for 4 nights for myself my husband and two friends for a belated birthday celebration. There was plenty of parking, and the stable was warm and cosy. The garden is completely secure so our two dogs could play and zoomie to their hearts content. Beautiful scenery of rolling countryside which you can access from your back garden. We walked through the farm straight into a national trust walk with Cafe. We carried on and walked around Aberaeron and back which was seven miles round trip. The dogs slept for hours while we played table tennis and pool in the games room then enjoyed an hour in the hot tub. Perfect location and perfect hosting by Katy who is an absolute diamond. She is the one who makes your stay go smoothly with the help of Jamie who can fix and find anything. Great place to stay
