    Holiday Cottages in Ceredigion

Once a minor kingdom, known historically as Cardiganshire, today Ceredigion includes several towns both inland and along the Cardigan Bay coast. The 60-mile stretch of Cardigan Bay coast sits along the Welsh Coastal Path, perfect to explore by foot. Dolphins are often spotted off Ceredigion’s beaches and if you want to get a closer look, there are many boat tour companies to choose from.

Further inland, take a short break in one of Ceredigion’s market towns, visit a woodland village or explore one of the few remote wilderness areas still in existence in the UK – the Cambrian Mountains. The primary settlements in Ceredigion lie around the edges of its wild moorland plateau with varied landscapes — spanning lakes, dense forests, wildlife havens and archaeological areas of interest.

Ceredigion holiday cottages have something for everyone, so no matter what you’re looking for, you’ll find it here. Choose between woodland getaways, traditional seaside breaks or an active sporting holiday. With thousands of homes listed on Snaptrip throughout the UK, all backed by our best price guarantee, you're sure to find your next break. Need some help? What our customers say about their holidays

    • Jeremy - Verified booking

Really nice holiday place, we would recommend.

Lovely Owners who were very helpful. Large hot tub, always on and well maintained by property owners. Great living spaces and bedrooms. Nice and warm if you want it to be, nice and cool and breezy if you want it to be. We had to have some wood for the burner on one night because "british summer" lol, we just messaged and the owner brought us some straight away. Towel radiator and plenty of other radiators to dry towels on when you've "hot tubbed". Plenty of hot water at all/any times. Really nice hot clean shower with rain head and normal head. Spacious and great. Surprising how a poor bathroom can ruin a holiday, well this one won't at all, did not disappoint in any way. Kitchen was good, plenty of equipment to cook and look after yourself and family. Only slight minor for us was no washing machine, but the linens and towels were changed for us on the Friday (as we were there for 2 weeks), and there's a launderette in Borth (and one in Aber). Dishwasher tablets were provided too, and a nice welcome basket with some great "just arrived" goodies until you can get yourself sorted. An easy walk down into Borth town (just out the front of the property, down through the neighbouring caravan park entrance, and along the river to the "animalarium", then along a road into Borth itself. Great with the 4 legged friend(s), and took us about 30 minutes including doggy sniffing and jumping in the river stops, to get to the main street. This is good, as the road way to walk in would feel a little hairy at parts. There is a road just by the property but honestly you can't really hear it. TV in main room and bedroom, both smart, and modern, so you can get your own stuff on or use the large amount of included entertainment. There's a neighboring cottage attached, their front door faces away from yours, and we only saw people a handful of times to say hello to and you couldn't hear anything from their side even if we were both out in our respective hot tubs. Plenty of parking out front a few short steps from the front of your cottage. I would recommend this to any friend or family, it's a great place and the owners were lovely.

The accommodation was lovely and clean and spacious.

.everything needed provided ..comfortable double bed and two very comfortable sofas...Great shower too....however on arrival stepping into the building it was dark and felt cold...the details in advertising the property stated a basket of wood for the log burner would be provided...as there wasn't one we rang the given contact number to be told they no longer provide it but the host said she would see what she could do...we decided to go out to try and source somewhere to buy fire wood...luckily we were given directions from a lady in the local shop and were able to purchase some ...despite it being late in the day ..once we got the log burner going it warmed our accommodation up so we were comfortable ..maybe in summer ..warmer months there may be no need for the log burner but during our stay we needed it as the underfloor heating is on a timer set by the hosts and is totally impractical for guests... without the fire the accommodation felt cold...we also felt that despite the comfortable mattress the actual bedding could do with upgrading ..the pillows were flat and the quilt didn't keep us warm .. In general we were happy with our stay ..there has obviously been a lot of thought and care into the layout and design of everything inside The only thing that would put us of staying again is the outside area ...there is a huge canopy/porch outside the double doors which makes inside very dark...the outside area for the accommodation is grim...and dominated by concrete slabs...gravel and a huge steel structure housing the hot tub...totally uninspiring and not inviting...and the view is of some sort of large maintenance yard ? Another not so good point is that the accommodation is right next to a busy and noisy road which could also be heard within the accommodation ...on the whole the actual accommodation was good despite the heating system however the outside area made you feel you were anywhere else but near the sea ..and wasn't a uplifting space to want to be in .

From the minute we arrived at Dolly we were enchanted.

The weather was not good all week however we were there to relax. Dolly had everything required to acheive this. The woodburner made the van warm and cosy and the inital supply of logs was most welcome we had also brought our own. Books and games are supplied too. The kitchen is well equipped and on arrival it was a nice surprise to find a complementary fine selection of local goodies and treats for our bedlington terrier Barney. The bed was so comfortable and the linen sheets and duvet cover were delightful. The bathroom is in a seperate building a few steps outside but dont let that put you off, it was warm, clean, and modern . On days when it is dry there is a private sitting out area and a ring to tether hounds to as this is a farming area. The owners were welcoming and responsive. Dolly is set down a quite county lane with ample parking available. A half mile walk along the main road will find you at a local pub which brews beer and makes excellent pizza. Just a 3 mile stride to the coast gives you another pleasant walk, again with a pub to supply refreshments. On the one dry day we went to New Quay, a short drive away and we were rewarded with the sight of dolphins playing just off the harbour, which was a wonderful experience. We highly recommend this accommodation for comfort, location and the effort the owners put in to make guests feel relaxed and welcome. Helen , Alwyn and Barney Bedlington

      Absolutely amazing!

It's exactly how it is seen on photos and description... Only better!! Stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday and honestly couldn't of asked for anything better! Perfect place to escape the hustle of everyday life, so peaceful and private!Cabin was so cozy and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in! There wasn't anything that hadn't been thought of to ensure the perfect stay and the air con was an absolute bonus! Hot tub was amazing, free to use as much we liked, owners came each morning (without disturbing us) and checked on chemical levels etc to ensure we got full use of it! On our first morning our hot water wasn't working (had been the night before) we phoned Byron and he came round straight away; they only live up the road! He had replaced the gas bottle that morning on his check up and sometimes it just needs a little encouragement, he sorted it right away for us and ensured we had everything we needed! Honestly couldnt of asked to of stayed in a better place or with better hosts! Would definitely recommend and hopefully we will be visiting again soon!

The lodge is equipped with comfy furniture and all the amenities you need on a self catering holiday.

The only downsides for us were the lack of control with the heating. It is only on twice a day, 2 hours in the morning and then from 4.30pm in the evening. As this is November with 2 and 3 degree days we were buying plenty of wood for the fire to keep warm. I had my 70 year old mother with me. The other minor glitch was having to complain the hot tub was too cold. The owner thankfully highered the temperature to 38.5 degrees from the 36 degrees it was set at, telling me 36 degrees is standard, even though their own literature in the lodge welcome book states it is set at 39 degrees. Because of these 2 points I would only come back here in the summer. I have stayed at quite a few lodges through Sykes and this is the first time we were not given access to the central heating control during the winter months.
