What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Hot Tubs In Moray To Rent.

Dr Stofberg - verified booking

"We are a family of 5 (kids under 10) and booked the cottage primarily because it had a hot tub. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the accommodation. It is a 4 bedroom, semi-detached property with one bedroom downstairs (king bed) and 3 upstairs (one double bedroom with walk in closet, one room with 3 single beds and the 3rd room a small nook with comfy seating and kids table and toys). All furnishings were brand new (board games for kids still in its wrapping!), beds exceedingly comfortable and the whole cottage spotless. It has one bathroom upstairs with a monsoon, walk-in shower. Plenty of towels supplied, all cleaning materials needed as well as Molton Brown and Sanctuary products. The living room is downstairs with a large TV and 'lazy boy' sofa's - perfect for watching hours of Wimbledon tennis! The kitchen is immaculate with coffee machine (pods provided) as well as integrated dishwasher. There is not a utensil I looked for and couldn't find. There is a table with 4 chairs as well as 2 easily set up seats. The space for dining in the kitchen was a little small but we managed easily. There is a utility room with washing machine, hand held vacuum, stacks of towels for use at the hot tub, clothes airer, iron with board, mop and bucket and again, all cleaning materials provided. The hot tub is in the back outside area and an absolute treat! The front of the property looks onto a terraced area with a small grass area for kids to play and a paved area with lovely garden furniture, BBQ and umbrella. Beyond that runs a main road that could be busy during the day but a high terraced garden separates the property from the road and thus safe for children. The road did not bother and provided the windows of the bedrooms were closed, we did not have troublesome street noise. I enquired about BBQ facilities the day before we arrived to help plan the food shopping. The owner said there weren't any but when we arrived, a BBQ had been purchased and all the needed equipment, fire lighters etc. were provided. Any enquiry or problem we had was dealt with very promptly and efficiently. We took our bicycles and had a few lovely trips to the beach and into town (up a steep hill!). The harbour area has a secluded beach that the kids thoroughly enjoyed. Cullen beach is lovely too. There are plenty of walks around Cullen (ask for a map at the newsagent). There is a Co-op and 3 cafe's as well as an ice-cream shop that we visited almost daily! Excellent ice-creams and very friendly helpful local towns people. The cottage is set in the old part of Cullen and the rows of terraced cottages are beautiful with quiet streets. We can highly recommend this cottage."

"We were a group of 8 ages 54,53, 40+ 40+, 19, 17, 10 & 7 visiting the area for an 80th Birthday celebration. Booking was easy. Supplied directions were spot on. Picking up the key was a doddle. Paying the security deposit and having it returned was no problem. This house suited our needs perfectly. Its located in the countryside next to another 3 properties of different styles and with plenty of privacy. Parking for 3 cars in front of the double garage was no problem. We drove from Inverness Airport which took about 35 minutes. Its a spacious modern house which has been fitted out to a high standard. It's an L shaped design and the downstairs rooms are interesting shapes - not just standard boxes. The lounge is a couple of steps down from the rest of the house. It was close to freezing temperatures outside during our visit but the house was lovely and warm from the underfloor heating. We didn't need the log burner to heat the lounge but we did light it and it looked great. On entering the front door there is a large utility room with a wet room off of it and also access to the garage. Next to that there is a music room with electric organ and loads of DVDs and kids toys. There is a good sized kitchen which is open plan onto the hall and staircase. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The dishwasher was not working during our stay but was not a problem for us.The dining room is double height with a large window. The lounge is accessible from the dinning room or the hall and it is a good size with plenty seating for 8 people. Upstairs there are 4 good sized bedrooms with an ensuite to the master bedroom. Each bedroom has loads of wardrobe space. The family bathroom is massive and has a powerful shower and a whirlpool bath (didn't try that). The large upstairs landing is fitted out as a library with loads of books to chose from. Outside there is a good sized garden but it was a bit cold to be outside. The cold didn't stop some of us using the outside hot tub which I'm told was very good. In the garage there was some sports equipment (bikes, golf clubs etc) which we could have used if time permitted. The local area is a bit of a hidden gem although I may be biased having been brought up nearby but moved away 30 years ago. There are fantastic beaches, golf courses, whisky distilleries, dolphins, hill walking, coastal walks, good food and loads more. We will probably try to book this property in the future when visiting family in this area and hopefully staying longer next time."

"Having stayed in Cullen on many previous occasions, we were looking forward to returning. Firstly, the positives....great location in the centre of the village with parking outside the front door. So on arrival, we found that there was no 'Welcome pack" in the kitchen, no big deal but why advertise it? The property was grubby and very much "surface clean". Internally the decor was tired, with chipped walls, the handles on the kitchen cupboards were peeling. There were only 5 dinner plates in the kitchen, (we were a party of 6). The crockery and dishes were old, chipped and mismatched. There were also a couple of safety concerns..... Cupboard off the hall - there is a small step down into the cupboard, which should be highlighted as a couple of our party slipped going into the cupboard. Parts of the property have low ceilings, again no signage to indicate same.Basic attention to detail was lacking, remote control in the twin room required new batteries, info folder was basic with no instructions for use of the electrical appliances. There was however, recycling info detailing which bin to use, not ideal though as all the exterior bins were full to the brim on our arrival! The biggest gripe were the poor quality mattresses, pillows and duvets. The pillows were old and thin and the duvets were the same. In fact, we went to the Tesco in Buckie to buy new pillows as they were so thin and flat. The mattress were poor quality, as were the paper mattress covers!!! There were no additional bedding or towels provided, which I would expect especially for a 7 night stay. It is my understanding the owners have recently sold the property, it seems that perhaps they have lost any interest in providing a quality product, very disappointing."
