What our customers say about their holidays

    • Catherine - Verified booking

      Enjoyable stay at the cabin.

Cabin is deceptively spacious. Pros: easy to heat, cosy, comfortable king size bed, excellent shower, price Cons: could do with a spring clean and window clean, building work noise next door (temporary) All in all, an enjoyable stay. Can’t be too critical about anything given the extraordinary cheap price. Eamonn was communicative, and housekeeper was lovely. Many thanks.

The Hidden Gem cabin was spotless.

There was even milk in the fridge on our arrival which meant we could have a drink and not worry too much about getting it in There was lots to do and see, we did not get around it all. All this despite the rain!! All in all an excellent week that we would defiitely recommend and we would not hesitae in booking this cabin again.

Perfectly located for touring The Wild Atlantic Way.

The Pods are beautifully located on their own lake and Pods 1 - 3 have a hot tub to enjoy the view. The associated cafe was a real bonus as the food and staff are exceptional. The pods are very comfortable and well furnished. They have everything a traveller needs to base themselves on the Donegal coast for a few nights.

We just loved our holiday in this cabin.

It was cosy and homely and provided a fabulous base for touring this part of Donegal. We looked forward to returning home there each evening to relax after a busy day. The host Eamon was extremely helpful and having just returned home, we are already looking forward to booking the cabin again soon.

We enjoyed every part of the holiday.

The house was super clean, cosy, warm and perfectly equipped. Our interaction with the owner was first class. We loved the area and the wider Central and Southern parts of Donegal. Beaches are outstanding. We took a trip to Tory Island which was a highlight. The perfect holiday cottage for 2.

    Frequent questions

    • What is the best month to visit Ireland?

The best month to visit Ireland depends on personal preferences and interests. The summer months of June, July, and August generally offer pleasant weather, longer daylight hours, and a vibrant atmosphere. However, spring (April and May) and autumn (September and October) can also be excellent times to visit, with fewer crowds, beautiful landscapes, and opportunities to experience local festivals and cultural events.

    • How many days in Ireland is enough?

The number of days needed to explore Ireland depends on the depth of experience desired. A minimum of 5-7 days is often recommended to cover the highlights of popular destinations like Dublin, the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher, and Galway. However, to fully immerse in Ireland's diverse landscapes, historic sites, and vibrant culture, extending the trip to 10-14 days or more allows for a more comprehensive exploration of the country.

    • Where should I go in Ireland for the first time?

For a first-time visit to Ireland, starting in Dublin, the vibrant capital city, is a great choice. Explore its historic sites, such as Trinity College and Dublin Castle, and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere. From there, consider visiting popular destinations like the scenic Ring of Kerry, the majestic Cliffs of Moher, and the charming city of Galway, which showcase Ireland's stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage.

    • What is the most walkable town in Ireland?

Galway is often regarded as one of the most walkable towns in Ireland. The compact city center allows for easy exploration on foot, with its pedestrian-friendly streets, lively atmosphere, and numerous attractions within close proximity. Strolling through the colorful streets of Galway allows visitors to discover charming shops, pubs, restaurants, and historical landmarks such as the Spanish Arch and Eyre Square.
