Pancake Day – or Shrove Tuesday – is nearly upon us, which can only mean one thing – feasting on as many of these sweet treats as we possibly can. Whether you prefer to keep things savoury or perhaps plan to pile on the fruit (or lashings of Nutella), here are 11 of the best pancake places in London. You can thank us later!

Best for: Pear and salted caramel pancakes
The clue is very much in the name here. Where The Pancakes Are is indeed where you will find an incredibly extensive selection of freshly-made pancakes. They also offer a ‘3-in-1’ batter that is vegan, dairy-free, and wheat-free – making it an ideal pancake pitstop for anyone with sensitivities.

These super-light and ultra-fluffy pancakes are made from a traditional Japanese recipe that uses whipped egg whites to create a unique texture. They’re pretty difficult to try out (and master) at home, so it’s easier to let the team at this cute cafe do the hard work for you.
