There are lots of wonderful events happening all across the UK over Easter weekend, like having an adventure with Alice in Wonderland with her friends or afternoon tea on Easter Sunday with the Easter Bunny. If you’re not sure what to do this Easter, we’ve picked out some of the best Easter events in 2022, so you can celebrate the weekend surrounded by loved ones and lots of special treats!
1. Easter at Farmer Palmers Farm Park
Location: Dorset
Best for: Seeing the baby animals
Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park in Dorset has a jam-packed schedule of easter activities taking place over the bank holiday weekend. The Easter Bunny will be hiding chocolate eggs out in the fields. Then there’ll be a chance to meet some baby farm animals and have a run around in the outdoor and indoor play areas too. The organisers have made the event specifically for children eight years and under, so there’s no need to worry about the bigger kids getting in the way while they enjoy themselves!

2. The Passion of Jesus
Location: London
Best for: An immersive Easter experience
Stand in the heart of London in Trafalgar Square on Good Friday and watch the biblical story of The Passion of Jesus brought to life by 100 actors. This moving and spectacular performance is the perfect way to learn why we celebrate Easter. There are two performances to catch at 12 pm and 3.15 pm, and it’s completely free to watch.

3. Magical Easter Adventures at Tatton Park
Location: Cheshire
Best for: Themed treasure hunt trails
Cheshire’s Tatton Park is putting on a number of treasure hunt trails over the Easter holiday. Choose from hunting for mermaid treasure, defeating mystical dragons or following a beautiful woodland trail. You’ll meet lots of fascinating characters along the way and be rewarded with chocolate treats at the end. Events run throughout the weekend from Friday 15th April through to Easter Monday on 18th April 2022.

4. Great Easter Eggstravaganza at Marsh Farm
Location: Essex
Best for: A fun-filled Easter weekend
Enjoy a whole day of family fun at Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park in Essex. Meet the Easter Bunny, go on an Easter egg hunt, see farm animals and get stuck into a bunch of Easter-themed arts and crafts workshops. Kids will love the funfair – hop aboard the train ride, take a spin on the teacups, and bob about on the carousel. If you’re feeling peckish, just grab a bit to eat from one of the food and drink outlets.

5. Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt

Best for: Playing with friends and family all over the world
Cadbury has invented a whole new kind of Easter event for 2022. With their Virtual Easter Egg Hunt, you can hide a Cadbury egg anywhere in the world for friends or a family member anywhere across the globe. All you need to do is find a hiding spot on the map that means something to you and the person you’re hiding the egg for, write them a clue and send it their way. Then the hunt begins!

6. Hobbycraft Easter Workshops
Location: Online and in various stores across the UK
Best for: Getting crafty with the kids
With Hobbycraft’s Easter Workshops, you can learn a new skill or master a hobby you’ve been practising. Workshops take place online and across various stores in the UK. Choose from activities like Easter wreath-making, typography sign-making or bonnet-making. Check the schedule online and book your place! 7. Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt at Hampton Court Palace
Location: London
Best for: Exploring royal palace gardens
Embark on an adventure through the palace gardens at Hampton Court Palace on a Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt. You’ll have to uncover the statues that are hiding there, and when you find one, match up the name of the character with the red ribbon on the statue. When you’ve found all of them, you can collect your very own Lindt Gold Bunny at the end!

8. Easter Trail at Tumblestone Hollow
Location: Henley-on-Thames
Best for: A mystical Easter adventure
Follow the magical Easter Trail at Tumblestone Hollow and the Gardens at Stonor Park. There’ll be a family-friendly Easter-themed puzzle to solve along the way. When you solve the puzzle, bring it back to the Visitor Centre for a special Easter treat! The Easter Trail runs every day from 9th-24th April. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Easter with the little ones than in Henley-on-Thames.

9. Bonkers Bunny Bananza at Heights of Abraham
Location: Derbyshire
Best for: An adventure in the sky
For Easter 2022, why not take the whole family on an incredible cable car experience? Soar high above Derbyshire and the Peak District on the Heights of Abraham, where you’ll have panoramic views of the idyllic English countryside. Then hop off and follow the trail to spot the bonkers bunnies hopping around the estate. Solve the puzzle, get the magic word, tell the Easter Bunny and you’ll receive a tasty treat!

10. Easter Afternoon Tea at The Bentley
Location: Liverpool
Best for: Lots of Easter treats to eat
The Easter Bunny will be making an extra special visit to The Bentley in Liverpool to put on a fabulous spread of afternoon tea and entertainment for the little ones. Adults will get a lovely glass of prosecco on arrival – don’t worry, there are mocktails for the kids! Then there’s a chance to meet the Easter Bunny and receive a chocolate egg too. We’d recommend booking a table to secure your seat on Sunday 17th April!

11. Alice in Wonderland Easter Experience
Location: Leeds
Best for: Dressing up in fancy dress
In the magical Alice in Wonderland Easter Experience, Alice and her friends have escaped from the book and are running around all over Leeds’ Kirkstall Abbey. You’ll get to meet Alice, Absolem the Caterpillar, the Queen of Hearts and the Rabbit! Get dressed up and join in the fun in the enchanting world of Wonderland. Included in your ticket is an Easter Egg hunt too.
