"Pine wood is fantastic as a large holiday home so spacious. Plenty room for people to relax in what ever room they are in The lounges are both large and spacious helpful having a downstairs bedroom for those who may not manage the stairs and also a separate downstairs shower room and separate toilet Both the fires were on when we arrived and made the rooms look really comfy and warm the chairs in both lounges were all very comfortable the whole house is easy to access people found the house really to get round and loved the large kitchen where we gathered in the morning the bedrooms were all very comfortable loved the wee touches chandeliers were beautiful and the dining room was gorgous fitting 14 around the table comfortably out side was a wonderful space we had 2children with us who loved exploring and also 2dogs the gardens were all enclosed which was great and the large laundry area was very helpful I would come back to pinewood house in a minute wonderful memories thank you amazing I so didn't want to leave this is the best property I have ever been in"

"This cottage helped us to make the decision to never rent a holiday cottage again and go back to hotel accommodation in the future. Our first impressions were favourable as it all looks pleasing to the eye, but the beds are unbelievably uncomfortable, which caused us to have to get up at 3 am with aching backs and go lie on the sofas instead. The water is not hot enough for a bath, so only showering is possible, but when the bed has made your back hurt, a hot bath would give some welcome relief. The shower tray I tried using didn't have an anti-slip mat and no shelf for the soap or shampoo and I considered it to be dangerous. The door locks are very difficult to lock and unlock and the back door only opens half way. The crockery has seen better days, with the glazing badly scraped by previous users and we considered the plates unhygienic to use. We went home a day early because we were fed up of feeling uncomfortable and tired through lack of sleep. This cottage was the straw that broke the camels back!"

"Had a very enjoyable stay at the property, it had everything you require for your stay including kitchen essentials ( washing up liquid, dish cloths, kitchen roll, salt & pepper sugar hand soaps etc ) the only thing I was disappointed with was the cleanliness of the kitchen surfaces, the kettle and toaster had a layer of greasy dust on them also the canisters on the work top, the hob and oven front weren't clean and the oven gloves were dirty with dried on food. I understand that it is no more than day to day use from previous guests but when you are paying a good sum of money to stay in a property I would expect a little more attention to detail. The rest of the property was very clean and comfortable and the nearby town of Banchory had all the amenities you could want, overall a very nice holiday."

"Beautiful cottage set in a scenic location just a stones throw from Aberfeldy. The open fire makes for a cosy night in and separate bath/rain shower made for a lovely addition. Fantastic views from windows and wildlife surrounded-As we bumped into a few random stags just outside the house. The bird tray in kitchen window is also lovely to watch. Only thing letting this place down is the camping style cutlery, the fridge light wasnt working and better quality bedding in the rooms would certainly bring this to from an 8 to 10/10 stay. I’d recommend a small welcome pack for visitors as this would only add to the experience. So if you are visiting be sure to take your own soap, washing up liquid etc as this was missed."

"Overall disappointing. I only realised towels were not provided when I got the email with details of the direction a week before the holiday. Neither of the bedroom doors could be closed and the bathroom door cannot be locked - all basic things not really that difficult to be fixed. The accommodation is advertised with WiFi and a washing mashe but neither is available. The WiFi was particularly annoying as there is no mobile coverage in the area. The kitchen is not very well equipped and there is no dishwasher. The fact that we had to pay for a game of pool 50p sounds ridiculous provided we were guests and were having dinner in the pub.Otherwise the area is wonderful"
