Most guests found the property clean and tidy, though some noted areas where cleaning could be improved, such as dust on skirting boards and occasional oversight in the bathrooms. The overall impression is positive, but there is room for more thorough cleaning.

The location is highly praised for its convenience, quietness, and proximity to beaches, shops, and scenic walks. The views over the golf course and the estuary are particularly appreciated, making it a desirable base for exploring the area.

Guests are very satisfied with the comfort of the property, mentioning comfortable beds and furnishings. However, some guests reported issues with heating and the comfort of additional sleeping arrangements, slightly affecting the overall comfort score.

The property is well-equipped, but several guests experienced issues with TV operation and buffering, and some found the kitchenware lacking. There were also calls for better instructions for appliances and an emergency contact number, indicating a need for better maintenance and information.

While guests did not specifically mention gifts, there is a lack of a welcome pack and visitor's guest book, which could enhance the thoughtfulness of the host's approach. As such, there is insufficient information to score this category accurately.

The property was well positioned and convenient for everything we wanted. Unfortunately although the furniture and furnishings were comfortable, we found the lack of instructions & information very unsatisfactory, especially when we had a leak from the en suite onto the hall ceiling which we reported to Sykes on the Monday morning as no local number was given. However by the time we left to come home on the Friday, nobody had come out to inspect. We did not use the en suite during that time and any damage could have been so much worse. We also felt that there should be bins in the bathroom and bedroom plus some cleaning materials and spare bulbs. Having said all this, we did enjoy our stay.

We arrived a couple of hours early as from the website the cottage appeared to have been free the day before. We seemed to “run into” the cleaners who were just arriving. This wasn’t really a problem as we went to the very nice golf club for lunch. On our return the cottage was very clean apart from rubbish being piled up in the bins out the back and overflowing in the garden. Kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans etc but a few more dishwasher tablets would have been helpful - we had one to last three days. Apart from these small problems we had a lovely time. The view was great and the road was extremely quiet. A very relaxing few days. We have booked again for Christmas!

Unfortunately, like previous comments the cleaning wasn’t up to standard and bathrooms need some redecoration. There were no mattress protectors on any of the beds. The king size mattress is quite stained along with the dressing table stool. The double bed sheet was dirty, work surfaces, fridge and food cupboard had to be cleaned. Also the sofas are starting to look quite tired. There were no baking sheets. The caretaker brought round roasting tins, but there were several of those in the cupboard. Just so disappointed as it wasn’t as good as the other times we have been. Having said that Sykes acted quickly and within 24 hours the beds were sorted. Although the problems were resolved you don’t want to have to deal with this. The grass was cut 2 days before we left which made a difference especially with a dog. All information about the house was on our email from Sykes which was good. We did have trouble signing into Netflix. The only way it worked was to unplug the tv and plug it back in again, then sign in again. Even though we had these problems we did have a lovely holiday. The house is really nice and a good area to visit. Just hoping all will be up to standard if we go back again.
