The Old Stables in Ruthin offers a comfortable and well-situated accommodation for visitors to North Wales & Snowdonia. Guests have praised the property's cleanliness, convenient location, and the responsiveness of the host. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements were noted, the overall experience has been positive, with particular appreciation for the festive decorations provided during the holiday season.
Most guests found the property to be clean, with specific mentions of a clean bathroom and kitchen. However, some noted areas of dust and cobwebs, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for being perfect for exploring Ruthin and surrounding towns, with convenient access to local amenities and attractions.
Guests have commented on the comfortable beds and the cosy atmosphere of the cottage. Some feedback suggests that certain furniture could be more comfortable.
The property is generally well-equipped, but guests have suggested the addition of a microwave and mirrors in bedrooms. There were also comments about heating issues and a non-functional dishwasher.
While guests appreciated the festive decorations during the Christmas holidays, there is not enough information to determine if such thoughtfulness is consistent across all stays. Therefore, the score is set to null.

I suggest, the heating/water controller needs reprogramming to more convenient times as sometimes there was no hot water and the heating came on in the middle of the night. One of the sofas (light colour) was rather uncomfortable. The lighting in the main lounge area is poor, necessitating having all the lights on all the time you are home. Even then it's poorly lit.

If I had to say anything it would be the long stay car park location was not obvious as no name was given in the details. There is a map in the property but itâs not labelled well. This could be made clearer! Otherwise it was a lovely place to stay and would highly recommend âºï¸

We have family in Ruthin and we now see the Old Stables as our home in Ruthin. The house is centrally located, is comfortable and has all the amenities needed for a short stay. Rhidian is a very responsive host and answers any questions within a few hours, oftentimes sooner.
