Lawn Farm Cottage is a charming property with stunning views and a swimming pool that is a hit with many guests. The location offers tranquillity and is ideal for exploring Gloucestershire. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, enhancing the stay with their helpfulness. While some guests found the cottage to be a comfortable and homely base with a well-equipped kitchen, others noted areas for improvement in maintenance and modernisation.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and comfortable, though a few mentioned it could benefit from a deeper clean and attention to details like the bathroom smell and loose toilet seat. The mixed feedback suggests good general cleanliness with room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and convenience for exploring the local area. The proximity to Gloucester and various attractions adds to its appeal. The rural setting and peaceful environment are consistent highlights.
Guests generally found the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, particularly appreciating the open fire and spacious rooms. However, some guests mentioned that the mattresses could be upgraded and the seating more comfortable, indicating that while the comfort level is good, there is potential for enhancement.
The swimming pool is a standout feature, though not heated, it is enjoyed by many during warmer weather. The well-equipped kitchen and spacious garden are positives, but issues with appliances and suggestions for modernisation indicate that the facilities are satisfactory but would benefit from updates and repairs.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in their friendly and helpful nature, as well as the provision of complimentary items such as wine and biscuits on arrival. However, as these gifts are subject to change and not guaranteed, they represent a gesture of hospitality rather than a consistent amenity.

It has everything you need for a home from home stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. We were very lucky with our weather and the swimming pool was an added bonus which my son thoroughly enjoyed. It could be a bit nippy in there if the sun hadnât been out but still wonderful. Views were stunning. Would definitely go back for another stay. Thank you so much.

The house was spacious and well equipped. We had everything we needed and the cottage was quiet, had fantastic views and was in a great location for visiting places such as Gloucester and going into Wales. My son loved the view of the train line in particular. The pool was also lovely and although not heated, the cover made it plenty warm enough at the time of year we stayed. The recently installed super fast internet was also useful and popular with my teenagers. With thanks to our friendly hosts.
