Snaptrip says

Bridleway Cottage is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and peaceful location. Guests consistently mention the well-maintained and equipped facilities, the thoughtful touches by the owners, and the delightful birdlife. The cottage offers a relaxing atmosphere and is considered a gem by many who have stayed.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of reviews commend the cottage for its cleanliness, describing it as one of the cleanest and best-equipped they've stayed in. One negative comment about cleanliness appears to be an outlier.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, ideal for nature lovers, and convenient for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and nearby towns. The serene setting and wildlife are highlights.

Guests find the cottage very comfortable, mentioning cosy seating, a memory foam bed, and a warm welcoming interior. A single review mentioning an uncomfortable bed and issues with heating is noted but does not reflect the overall sentiment.

Facilities are well-regarded, with mentions of a modern kitchen, high-speed broadband, and a log burner. The presence of thoughtful extras is appreciated. One review cited issues with heating control, but overall feedback is positive.

Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful touches, such as maps, gadgets, and bird feeders. While gifts are not consistently mentioned, the owners' attentiveness contributes to the positive experiences. However, as gifts are not guaranteed, this is reflected in the summary.

Nearby is a popular walking route that covers the dramatic landscape of Malham Cove, Gordale Scar, Janet's Foss Waterfall and Malham Tarn - Britain's highest lake. Travel through varied terrain and rugged landscapes. A less strenuous route is from Malham Village to Janet's Foss.. To the north, the landscape rises to the fells, moors and picturesque valleys of the Dales, while to the south are the wetlands of the Ribble Valley, sweeping upward to the magnificent wilderness of The Forest of Bowland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For golfers, there is a selection of wonderful courses nearby, the closest being in High Bentham. Ingleton is just a little further, offering a collection of shops and traditional old pubs huddled around its quaint square, along with an open air, heated swimming pool available during the summer. The bustling market town of Settle is nearby with its weekly market, or for a great day out, take a tour along the renowned Settle-Carlisle Railway line, which steams through some of the most inspiring upland scenery in the country, and the nearby Wennington Railway Station is on the Leeds-Morecambe line. This cosy cottage provides all the ingredients for a romantic break.

The charming country parish of Tatham lies on the northern fringe of the Forest of Bowland, close to the small village of Wray, with its tea room, garden centre, pub and renowned Scarecrow Festival in February. A relic of the Ice Age, stands on the boundary where Lancashire meets Yorkshire and has become a distinctive feature of the landscape, boasting spectacular views over the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland, whilst just to the north lies the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The owners were lovely right from the start, but persistent calls whilst we were on our break were a bit much. There was no welcome pack We get up at 5 am and the cottage was freezing cold,it was minus 2 most mornings, and were in late 60s with arthiritis and the cold makes it worse.the heating only came on around 7 am very low and only stayed on minimally. The heating and hot water are controlled remotely by owners so we had no control of those. The bathroom floor is lethal with the fluffy mat they supplied and I slid across the floor, this could also be because there is only 1 grabrail, the bath was slippery, with no grab rails inside bath to feel secure in shower. The oven was filthy, and the meat tray inside was rancid with caked on grease,it took 4 attempts in dishwasher to get it clean. The tea towels too were dirty, the bath towels stiff, but not a problem as we take our own I have a cleaner myself, and if she cleaned this badly she would be sacked. There was dust everywhere, and the blinds etc were full of dust and grime There was a sheet far too small on bed and the underblanket didn't stay secure due to this, hence sleepless nights. The bed very low and the mattress wasn't great as we kept rolling into middle. When we lifted mattress to try to secure sheet under the mattress we found a lot of used dirty tissues!!!. Very scary,as who knows what germs were left,as we're both clinically vulnerable. The "cleaner" was not up to job

Good parking facilities, well equipped and for a small cottage, quite spacious. Unfortunately the tin opener didn't work./ A normal tin opener would be preferable to those that open the tin on the side. Also a casserole dish with a lid would be useful. Other than that it was perfect.
