"S21193 was a delightful picturesque cottage in the heart of cadgwith, u can hear the bustling of the locals bringing in the fish and chatting amongst themselves! It is a stunning little cove and the cottage is the prettiest fairy tale cottage u could ever wish for, inside it is very quaint, very clean and tidy and Wendy the caretaker, who was very friendly and helpful had lovingly left a vase of flowers out on the table and biscuits with tea and a small bottle of milk ready for our arrival, which was a very welcome surprise after a 7 hour drive down from Manchester. There was an information book with every bit of information we could need, with a local dog friendly beach guide and details of local doctors surgeries which I had to visit due to horse fly bites (the evil buggers). The walk up and down from the car park is a pain in the butt every day but as a regular visitor to cadgwith I was aware of the walk before booking so this had no reflection on the cottage itself!!The local people who lived around the area were lovely, welcoming and very friendly other than crabby Annie that sits in the fish shop window poking her pick into crabs legs all day long, she was very rude, very unwelcoming and even gave us the middle finger when she blocked the tiny country lane down to the cove and refused to let the oncoming traffic pass! She didn't spoil my stay, I loved the cottage and would sit imagining what it would be like to live in such a beautiful place, the only negative comments I have about the cottage itself is the number of tourists the cottage drew in, I felt like a celebrity with the paparazzi outside constantly being photographed and even entering the garden to stand in the door way to take pictures of themselves, (cheeky buggers), I spent many a morning photobombing pictures being taken or waving at people outta the window! I was also a little bit gutted that when booking the cottage I paid extra for my little shidtzu dog to come along and enjoy the holiday with us but when I arrived there was notices up stating I wasn't allowed to leave her alone in the cottage, this was a little bit annoying as the weather was glorious outside and way too hot for my dog to be out all day in it!! If I'd have known prior to booking and paying the extra money that she was unable to stay in like she does at home I'd have made alternative arrangements for her to stay with friends. All that said I had a fantastic time and will remember my stay in cadgwith for a very long time."

"The apartment itself was all we could have wished for and more. Weather could have been better. but we did do a lot of exploring and found some beautiful spots, Michaels Mount, Porthcurno, Mousehole and St. Ives to name but a few. We very much enjoyed The Eden Project and a trip to the Scilly Isles, but do not recommend the ferry crossing unless you have very good sea legs! Next time we would definitely fly! However beautiful the apartment was and the view must be the best in Penzance, the parking is another matter. Although warned in the information about the apartment that the parking was between 2 pillars and very narrow, we assumed that the whole of the car park was laid out under pillars. Not so. The parting space for the apartment is between the only 2 pillars in the car park and is in front of a plant room which has a notice on it saying access must be left clear. If there is no parking spaces free on the row behind to back into it is very difficult to manoeuvre into the tiny space, and unfortunately after a tiring 8 hour long drive, on arrival we scraped the car badly on trying to enter the tiny space. This has resulted in repair being required to 4 panels . A very upsetting and expensive start to the holiday. It most certainly looks as though this space was never meant to be a designated parking space at all, and as commented by an earlier visitor, certainly not commensurate with the standard of the apartment. We were also slightly disappointed that there was no welcome pack in the apartment, just a pint of milk. Although a fairly minor thing, it is a nice touch and the holiday information does state there is one provided.Overall, despite the above it was a lovely holiday in a beautiful part of the world."

"we enjoyed this cottage. it has enough space for our family of 5 (inc teens and young adults) and a golden retriever. the cottage was very clean and had most things we needed for a good stay. the Christmas hamper was fabulous and a nice touch. could have done with more seating in the lounge but we brought in a chair from the hall. bathrooms are modern and 3 toilets is always a bonus with teens!the pale carpets were a challenge to keep clean in a wet, muddy and windy week as our dog loves muddy puddles and racing through waves so we appreciated the outdoor tap and hose and we needed this every time we came in from a walk for cleaning dog and boots.Glad we brought lots of dog towels with us! the garden is not absolutely dog proof if you have a dog who jumps up on walls easily just to see what's on the other side! Our dog got out of the garden on the first day as there is a low wall at one end - no harm done as we supervise our dog at all times. Great to have a field behind the house for the early morning canine walks before breakfast.this house is a great location for both North and South coasts and as we enjoy going to both - the location was good."

"Overpriced, needs overall, few things broken or not working, we reported to reception and some things sorted but bathroom light didn’t get resolved, stained carpet, tatty kitchen cupboards/draws, leaking kettle which was replaced with a tatty travel version and took an age to boil, front door had issues too!Out doors had court yard, desperately needed weeding, washing hanger outside but no pegs, ironing board unstable, ironing board cover past its best so slipped off, only 3 dining chairs (supposed to be 4), pottery set had silly sized small bowls, blinds didn’t fit, frayed and you couldn’t reach the pulley without standing on a chair, no instruction for appliances accept cooker, double glazing blown, no welcome book for the cottage. On a positive note, bedding clean/crisp, welcome pack with basic groceries was a nice touch. The touch left for guests didn’t work but a replacement was provided by the gentleman on reception which we appreciated as we had dogs with us.However very disappointing, on the wall there was an old 13/14 Visit England tourist board certificate, we feel it’s a long time since the Farrier Cottage has been 4*"

"Second time we have stayed here and once again we enjoyed our stay. Very clean. But this time we felt the place and equipment was due for an upgrade. Thats not to say that anything was wrong it wasn't but just like at home you know when its time to get a new carpet etc or redecorate or re-stock on basic items. The sofas looked second hand and had been repaired. One kitchen cupboard door fell off when we got there and I refitted the loo seat. The main light kept going on and off. Outside there were loose patio slabs. So for next year we've booked again via cottages.com whom we cannot fault but a different property. Oh the bed had a piece of wood holding it up in the middle for some reason. But did we enjoy ourselves? Yes. Would we stay again? Not sure to be very honest, nearly £1100 for a weeks stay is now pushing it given the lowering standards. If everything is spot on you don't mind paying one bit."
