What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Yorkshire And The Humber To Rent.

"What a wonderful cottage! The location, for us, was ideal -- and an easy jaunt to York. Clean and well equipped, S15607 offered everything we needed for three days in Wheldrake and the greater York area. The cottage has ample parking with easy access and is suitable for a family of four. Wheldrake is a charming village and the cottage is quiet and peaceful. Superb value -- a supremely affordable option for our family's visit to the area. Our only caution was the beds -- while sizeable, they were some of the hardest beds we had ever slept on. If a remarkably stiff bed suits you, then you will be fine. Otherwise, we recommend you bring an air mattress or other cushioning to ensure a good night's sleep."

"A lovely cottage, ideally situated for the town and also for visiting attractions such as Castle Howard, York etc. The cottage was really cosy, lovely and warm, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. If we had anything negative to say it would be that the bathroom is downstairs (the two bedrooms occupy both upstair rooms) the metal frame beds squeak quite loudly each time you turn over, and the dining chairs and the sofa/chairs are very low backed - not very supportive. But putting this into context, this cottage is compact on the outside, but doesn't feel like that on the inside, it has a super kitchen with every item you could ever need, and it's very handy for local amenities and the shops."

"This is a lovely little cottage and it really depends what you want from your holiday. It’s a perfect spot to explore the dales. The downsides are;- no outside space other than shared carpark at front, nowhere to dry wet things, no tumble drier or radiators so we had to use the bathroom towel rail for 4 people, coats , wet shoes trousers, was rather difficult. On the plus side;- kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you’d need. And the village has some lovely walks, coffee shops and so close to some great attractions, Forbidden Corner, Wensleydale Cheese Factory, to name just a few.Overall I would say good value for the price we paid."

"A very welcoming modern apartment and very nicely presented. Having a parking spot was an added bonus with parking in Whitby been very difficult and at a cost. We didnt use the car as very easy to walk into Whitby.Welcome pack was a nice touch.Plenty of other little nice touches like books, games and even binoculars ideal to take out on a walk. Another bonus was the sofa was actually a sofa bed which meant we didnt need to share the bed( 2 sisters).Location on the whole very quiet and easy to get too.One suggestion though, would be good idea to have a number on the key safe as there were 5 and we didnt know which one it was."

"Quaint cottage but couple of things were a little bit of a draw back.Good communication with owner. Everything you need in kitchen. Great quiet spot in the middle of the dales. Super walks near by.A little bit dated interior. Welcome book looked like it had been there for last 20 years! Was chilly on arrival due to storage heating system only starting up over night. We then noticed other reviews subsequently had similar experience with heating. We did light the stove which after a while gave us heat we needed...nice to have logs and coal available."
