"This was a lovely holiday rental. The house was beautifully furnished, and looked like it had been recently renovated so was very modern, clean and comfortable. The house had everything we needed, with a well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas in the living room and a lovely garden with tables and chairs. The location is excellent, very close to Bewdley town centre, which has lots of shops and places to eat. I would also recommend a nice walk along the river where you can feed the ducks and watch the rowing boats. However, the house is at the top of a steep, long hill, which doesn't have a footpath down the whole way, so not ideal if you are less mobile. We had our toddler daughter with us, so we didn't attempt to walk down the hill to get in to the town and instead decided to drive. First thing in the morning this was fine and it was easy to find a parking space, but if you hit rush hour or late afternoon then the roads do get quite congested. Parking at the property was fine, it is on street and first come first served, but we always managed to find a spot and mostly right outside the front door. The bedrooms were nicely furnished and comfortable. Just a note if you are bringing a travel cot with you - it won't fit in the smaller twin room but there is plenty of space in the double room. The house is also really close to local attractions such as the Severn Valley Railway, West Midlands Safari Park and Wyre Hill, where you can do the Gruffalo Trail. We had a great time at this property and would definitely come again and recommend to others."

"We were very disappointed, felt like we were staying in someone’s basement, not a cottage. Windows in main living area were below upstairs decking so felt very dark. Could hear people walking about above and a very lively washing machine! Very difficult to get a consistent heating temperature. Some doors didn’t shut properly, eg, kitchen and bedroom doors. Lots of lights didn’t work. Even though towels were included there were only 3 bath towels and 3 hand towels despite it being 7 berth accommodation which were old and different shades of brown. We had to buy more towels. Smelled damp, all our clothes needed washing once home to get rid of the smell. However, it was spacious and lovely and clean, WiFi was excellent which was a lifesaver as none of us had a mobile phone signal. The television was nice and big so we could all spread out and relax. Furniture was nice. The pub & restaurant described as two minutes walk away, was indeed a short walk but when we got there it had closed down and was falling apart. We were looking forward to returning to the Cotswolds as we had been last year. This was not the Cotswolds! Had to travel 45 minutes to get to the pretty places. Stourport on Severn was not a very appealing place, most of the amusements were closed despite it being the school holidays."

"I was looking for somewhere quiet to write and refresh myself from the pressures of work and this was a perfect haven. Mary and David can't do enough to make you welcome. The property was immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and furnished. Everything had been thought of. I appreciated the microwave for breakfast porridge. There was only one fine day, alas, but I made the most of it and had all three meals outside in the beautifully tended garden, with views of the Wyre Forest and Clee Hills. Robins, thrushes, blackbirds, coal tits, magpies and rabbits on the lawn! A pheasant came up to the French windows one evening. There is a great supermarket ten minutes away by car and a pub, The Bellman's Cross, ten minutes away on foot - sensational French cuisine. I visited charming Georgian Bewdley, imposing Ludlow Castle and Ludlow market (fabulous local cheeses and asparagus. Bridgnorth is fascinating too, with its High Town and Low Town and the quaint funicular railway connecting them. I even made a foray into Wales: Knighton (Powys) is just within the border. Try a steak and Stilton sandwich at the George and Dragon. A very peaceful stay. I shall miss the beautiful dawns and sunsets."

"Let us be clear there are pluses and minuses to this property, but it seems churlish to criticise the minuses when you know what you are signing up to. Let us deal with the positives first. The cottage was plenty warm enough. It was clean, tidy and well furnished and the wifi was good. It is also in a lovely quiet riverside location with great walks for dogs and humans on the doorstep. There are plenty of all sorts of entertainments that can be had a short drive away, from the West Mids Safari Park and Severn Valley Railway, to Hartlebury Museum, Worcester City and so on. Being all on one level with a very small step on the access path meant that it was easy enough to get elderly family members into and out of the house. However; had we been more organised we would have tried to find a property with more than one bathroom, and with a washing machine. We might also have looked for a cottage that was not the undercroft of someone's house. We weren't organised and so we made do with what we got, and no doubt paid less than we would have, if we had found a picturesque cottage with all the facilities that we could have desired."
