"A great base to explore the local area and beyond. Sadly on arrival we found the property to be modern but not very clean. We know the property is set in the country and, yes you would expect the odd cobweb, but we felt that the cottage hadn't been used for a while and it showed in the cleanliness. The shower is an accident waiting to happen, simply because it's not thermostatically controlled. Adjustment to achieve the right temperature was very difficult. The higher you raise the shower head the colder the shower, and the lower the shower head the hotter it became. There is no window in the bedroom, this may not concern other holiday makers, but if like us you like a little ventilation then you have to keep the bedroom door open. This is just a personal thing. We always like to keep the cottages we stay at clean, as we take our dog with us, but no vacuum, just a brush. On the web site it states that, over looking apple and pear orchards ( as it does) but what it fails to tell you that to your right you have a view of what can only be described as a car scrap yard. The garden could have been fenced off to the side to make it more private and to block out the view of the yard.No information sheet was left regarding your nearest local amenities, where you can walk on owners land etc.It could be a fantastic place to stay if just a little money and thought was spent on it, regarding cleanliness and privacy."

"Friendly but non-intrusive hosts. Welcome pack included delicious home-made cake, and a beautiful vase of flowers - much appreciated. Excellent kitchen equipment, and kitchen big enough for it to be the hub of family activity. Fantastic setting and grounds - wonderful to wake up to the views (and the downstairs toilet allowed interaction with sheep so close you felt you could touch them!). No mobile signal, no internet could be seen as an advantage, but for some could be a problem; perhaps the description should make this clear. Beds and furniture very comfortable, but perhaps it will soon be time to think about replacing the fitted carpets. Value for money: obviously the swimming pool (would only take a few strokes for a length), and the fact that we are obliged to book in school holidays ups the price. Rural, just as we like it. The lake within the grounds is not a problem for families with children - it's not immediately accessible (but does provide the entertainment of ducks!) We wouldn't hesitate to recommend, nor to return."

"The cottage is in a beautiful and peaceful location, but still close to key visitor attractions and is full of character which is what I felt we were paying for in terms of its relatively high cost (having stayed in a number of much bigger cottages that were alot cheaper). The cottage is well set up and has all that you could need in terms of equipment. However, it does appear slightly neglected which is a pity given what a wonderful period cottage it is. There were alot of large cobwebs everywhere internally (even appreciating its age and stonework), a large damp patch in the main upstairs bedroom ceiling that needs to be dealt with and the kitchen needs a thorough clean. Aside from the kitchen, other rooms were clean aside from the cobwebs and dust. The upstairs main bedroom needs a head protection of some kind because of the very low entrance. As a couple , we loved the cottage but would not recommend for people with small children as the stone stair is very steep and uneven."

"S16344 is a charming and historic holiday cottage in a peaceful village situation. The cottage has been carefully restored and decorated to a high standard retaining the old beams and character. Squeaky floor boards upstairs! It is well equipped, clean and carefully maintained. (Comfy beds, good fluffy towels, etc.) The owner and caretaker are very helpful, approachable and welcoming. Lower Moor is within easy driving distance of some of the best loved Cotswold towns, villages and countryside as well as the nearby towns of Pershore, Malvern and Ledbury. Some of the local country areas and smaller villages are also well worth exploring. The local pub serves good food at very reasonable prices and is only a short walk along the road. We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly like to return - given half a chance!"

"Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. A very nice garden and patio area with plenty of seating. The cottage has obviously had a lot of work done on it over the last year and is a fascinating place to stay. The garage conversion has been very nicely done and is very comfortable. The low bedroom doorway really is very low!!The stairs could be a problem for small children or the elderly - but then they are 400 years old and add to the ambience of the cottage. They are very impressive as is the fireplace - unfortunately it was too warm for us to try it out. There did seem to be a small problem with a blockage in the drains but a phone call to Stephanie the caretaker meant that it was dealt with extremely promptly and efficiently.A very enjoyable holiday in a very picturesque cottage."
