What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Wooler To Rent.

"Wonderful location and lovely large accommodation with everything catered for. However we would not stay there again because of the huge number of spiders! We had a leaking radiator on day one and reported this and the spider infestation, spiders nests and cobwebs to the local contact. They confirmed that they knew about the leaking radiator already and asked us to contact the owner which we did, leaving a long detailed message on her answering machine. The local contact also said she would contact the owner regarding the issues. The owner left a message (you don't get a signal at the property) saying that she had returned my call but did not address the problems and no one arrived to resolve them. We spent an afternoon of our holiday clearing away spiders nests and cobwebs from the bedrooms hoping this would help but it didn't. It is a barn conversion and may not have been used for a while but this issue should have been dealt with. One or two spiders are to be expected but we were dealing with dozens of large spiders each day and some were even found in the beds. This issue ruined our holiday as our kids - and some adults - were scared to go to bed! Not the relaxing atmosphere you hope for on holiday!"

"We had a great time at this property and were impressed with the level of effort and thought the owner had put in to preparing the property for a family with young children. The property came equipped with toys, games, DVD's and books that would be more than adequate to entertain children on a wet day and in addition the garden was a great space for them to run around in. The location is remote enough to feel like a break from urban living but was still close to the main attractions like Bamburgh and Alnwick. The property is modern and comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped with significant crockery for adults, plastic plates, bowls and cups for the kids and everything you would need to make a family meal. I would definitely stay here again but would hope that the cleanliness of the property as we found it on arrival was a one off. I wouldn't want a guest in my own home to find tumbleweeds of dog hair, mucky footprints in the shower or standing dust on flat surfaces so was disappointed to find this on arrival. Don't let this put you off, I would suspect that this wont be repeated based upon the care and effort the owner has made with the facilities and general standard of the property."

"Bridgend Bothy Cottage exceeded our expectations and is excellent value for money. We absolutely loved our week here. A couple of minutes walk into the centre of Wooler and right next door to the little milk bar although the cottage itself is very private with its own drive and secluded patio garden. The walks in the area are some of the most picturesque that we have seen. Everything was just perfect here...comfy beds, lovely bath with loads of hot water, living room is so cosy with the big settees and log burner, fully equipped kitchen. There is even a barbecue in the patio garden... because there was only the two of us we bought a disposable one for £2.50 from the co-op in Wooler and stood that on top as it was cheaper than filling the full size bbq and saved cleaning it! The owners are very helpful too. We would definitely return here."

"Very helpful staff, and great cottages in a lovely quiet location. The downsides of a country location were that it took a little longer to travel the country roads to other Northumbrian attractions around the coast. Of the cottage itself - a few spiders had taken up residence in two of the shower units despite the otherwise immaculate facilities. Although the adverts describe the swimming pool and games room, the hours of use were a little restrictive in that they were not available after 7pm. We understood the Health and Safety restrictions on using the pool, but it would have been nice to be able to use the games room and/or snooker table in the evening. We would most definitely use the cottages from this owner again - but might chose to stay at their other site at Seahouses"

"The cottage was warm and spacious and easliy took the 5 of us. The rooms were big and had plenty of seating areas. We used it as a base to walk St Cuthberts Way and that worked very well. The cottage is set at the back of a caravan park but it was quiet and we were able to use the facilities without feeling part of the park. We felt we needed to move the numerous ornaments out of the way to gain space on surfaces and so that they were not accidentally damaged. Strange to add to a cottage that welcomes children. We would also have preferred a good duvet on the main bed rather than sheets under covers. The main bathroom would benefit from a shower over the bath so everyone doesn't have to use the master bedroom shower. We had a friendly welcome and had a great holiday. Thank you."
