"We had a lovely week at S14155, everything we needed was there and the accommodation has a very homely feel. We tended to spend most of our time there in the the kitchen/diner, nice comfy chairs and a lovely AGA.The garden area is safe and secure, perfect for our little dog, and there was a safe and convenient place to park.We spent our week visiting family and friends in the area, and also visited Houghton Lodge at Stockbridge, Mottisfont Abbey at Romsey and Gilbert White's house at Selborne, (literally just up the road). We found some lovely places to take our dog for walks, there is certainly plenty to see and do in the area, and so many gardens, pubs etc. are dog friendly.Thankfully we were blessed with superb weather for the week, and as we visited in May, the birdsong and the dawn chorus was an absolute joy. I wish I could have recorded it.All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our week and would certainly return. And for anyone who is apprehensive about using an AGA, don't be. It's really easy, in fact it couldn't be easier and the results are excellent. I just wish I had room for one, I've become a convert like so many others. We received a very nice welcome pack which was much appreciated, and the owner Mrs. Nettle was very welcoming and ensured that we had everything we needed. S14155 is definitely the nicest place we have stayed so far, and I'm sure we will return in due course."

"We loved staying in S14155. It feels right as soon as you step through the door into the kitchen/diner. At this time of year the Aga is like a warm welcoming hug. S14155 is spacious, warm, comfortable and peaceful, being situated in a very quiet lane. Although opposite the owner’s home it has no windows on that side so you feel completely private indoors. It is very clean and excellently equipped. Whatever you want, it will be there in one of the many cupboards or drawers. In fact there was so much “stuff” that there wasn’t an empty cupboard for any food which isn’t suitable for putting in the large ‘fridge/freezer. Perhaps this could be addressed by removing some of the wine glasses! Even the hardest of drinkers would be hard pressed to use a fraction of what is provided! The sofas and bed in particular, were really comfortable. (The bed is two singles zipped together. This takes up a lot of space so remember to duck your head getting round one side to avoid hitting the sloping ceiling.)The bidet needs fixing. Water only dribbles out and the pop up waste doesn’t work.Wine, beer and biscuits were provided in the welcome pack but not milk or tea so come with all your provisions as you can’t just pop out to a shop.Cupboard space and bidet aside, this is a quality holiday home and feels like home.We would not hesitate to stay here again."

"I loved that little cottage. The kitchen/living room on the ground level with the wooden floor, armchairs and the two window is very comfy and bright. The second floor has a very hugh, comfortable bed, wardrobe and dresser, and again two windows for air and light. And the bathroom upstairs, so cleverly installed! With two Velux-windows.And not to forget Bob and Alison, such a great couple. The small treats, like fresh milk in the fridge for the first tea or a cake! Were do you get that? I never had that before.Despite being on a busy road during the day, the nights were very quite. The location was perfect for either starting a walk right from the doorstep or for driving to a nice place to stroll through the great Chilterns landscape - a walkers dream.I can absolutely recommend S38648 Cottage and will stay there again if I should come back to that region of England in the future.Thank you, Alison and Bob, for having me and making my week in Naphill so wonderful."

"I have stayed there twice this season and had wonderful times both times. Everything is there at the cottage you could possibly want and need. Only one thing missing a vase for flowers ! A minor thing, so I just took my own. Because it sleeps three it is a great place for a single person to holiday with friends, which is exactly what I did. I stayed with family from Yorkshire there, and last week friends from New Zealand there. I am a local girl who loves Wendover anyway, but they all loved it. So many walks to do from there, depending on the rain of course, and enough restaurants in Wendover to eat at a different one every night. Although everything is supplied for cooking at the cottage which we also did several nights. Thank you a wonderful place, but I don't want to tell many people !"

"Beautifully modernised 19th century cottage, very tastefully kitted out with all mod cons. Wendover is very charming, though hardly traffic-free, and the Chilterns are absolutely beautiful & a walker's paradise (at least until HS2 arrives). The cottage wouldn't suit the less able-bodied, with bedroom & bathroom on different levels, necessitating a somewhat hazardous night-time visit to the loo. The walls are thin, so it's possible to hear the next-door neighbours thundering up and down the stairs, not to mention two disagreeably yappy dogs. The "welcome pack" is a pint of milk, although the (overpriced) Tesco Express is 100 yards down the road. Although there are clear disadvantages, as above, the accommodation is of impressive quality overall."
