"The photos do not do this cottage justice! There is a good sized living room, dining room, small kitchen, and utility room downstairs, with a bathroom and two decent bedrooms up the steep staircase (gate provided for little ones at the top). The garden is quite long with a nice patio with table and chairs at the end.Steeple Ashton is a beautiful village, plenty of walks a step away out the front door. And the wider location is excellent, with the beautiful towns and villages of west Wiltshire a short drive away, and Bath just half-an-hour away - with plenty of alternative routes through beautiful villages to choose from.We had a lovely week here (2 adults 2 young children) in August and we would recommend without reservation - a beautiful village cottage in an excellent location."

"found this cottage to be like home from home, everything was ideal location close to Marlborough and Devizes and other local attractions. You could sit out in the garden and watch the alpacas in the paddock our westie thought they were westies with long legs. There are museums for all tastes close by from the Army flying base at Middle Wallop and the new REME near Wotton Bassett ,Stonehenge, the long barrow at Avbury and the stone circle that surrounds the whole village,Pubs plentiful and most serving meals and not expensive, the Red Lion at Avbury at the weekend is worth a visit.Would I recommend to friens YES,would I return YES.Oh nearly forgot the cakes Pauline had left for use, really enjoyed the weeks holiday restfull before I had to go into hospital set me up good style."

"Very near large industrial estate. Horse stables on site with accompanying smells. Property has had some DIY done, which is badly finished in many areas. Bad mould n downstairs shower room. Filthy grouting in tiled floo throughout lounge. Dirty Windows, sone with mould on frames. Walkin wardrobe in main bedroom not hoovered, duvet not pressed and therefore creased. Dishwasher needing dishwash salt, therefore leaving dishes not properly cleaned. Overall we considered property grubby and very disappointing. Garden in bad need of upkeep and lawn needs mowing, removal of weeds including stinging nettles. Dangerous stair gate at bottom of stairs. We only stayed one night, we just were not comfortable staying."

"The Barn has been cleverly and tastefully converted and gave us lots of space. We've stayed in many holiday cottages and the bathrooms in particular have been a bit of a let-down, being very small and cramped. Not so in The Barn: room to move about comfortably, a big bath and a spacious shower cubicle. The whole barn was light and airy and I feel sure that even had there been four of us using it, we would still have had enough room. Our dog loved the large, enclosed garden and did not get into too much trouble when he stole some of the resident dog's food! Any problems we had were dealt with speedily and with no fuss - all in all, a relaxing holiday that was all too short."

"S24845 was a lovely place to stay for a week. It is a bit isolated as Erlestoke has no real amenities (the pub across the road is in the process of shutting down) but it is a great location for getting to Devizes, Bath, Oxford, Stonehenge, Avebury, etc. Also, there is a fabulous pub about 1-2 miles west called the Three Daggers which is wonderful. Great for families and good food and ale.The house was lovely with everything we needed. The garden is beautiful and my 2 neices loved exploring it. We had BBQs most nights and it was lovely to have the ammenities there. The house was clean and fully stocked.Very happy with our stay and highly recommended."
