"Beautiful apartment and location! Tranquil and serene are the perfect words to describe the stay. The apartment is so cosy and well-designed especially the bed at mezzanine level. The view of sea and valley with waves sound crashing on the shore is so relaxing (open the windows and the fresh breeze is so uplifting and refreshing). We met resident couple and it was so lovely taking to them and knowing more about the history of building and town. The owner ensures to personally welcome you or at least meet you during your stay. The main highlights of the stay:1. Walk to the town Aberystwyth by the beach and some really nice places to eat (as we are vegetarian so restaurant Medina is our favourite and their collection of books)2. Walk by the river and if the water level is not high then experience of swings on the river (stole my heart)3. Constitution funicular rail experience and the views of coast and town are breathtaking (enjoy nice meal at the cafe too)4. Vale of Rheidol steam train ride is worth the view and experience (two hoots cafe cakes are yum)5. Devil's Bridge Falls and walk - ensure to take long walk approx 45 - 60 minutes (keep in mind about steep steps and natural mountain trail) We're definitely going back to explore more of Wales and making our base at Plas Tanybwlch :)"

"Lots of positives: A clean and modern basement flat right on the seafront, perfect for walking into town and very near the main shopping and cafe areas. We had a lovely welcome with refreshments, milk and even cereals provided, plenty of towels and loo roll! Quality furniture, bedding, equipment and fittings, a warm space with easy to use thermostat controls.A few negatives: As a basement flat, it is to be expected that it does not benefit from much natural light. You can hear noise above eg. people walking up and down stairs, people leaving and entering the shared entrance, noisy water pipes when other people in flats are using their bathrooms. So if you're used to a bit of noise it's fine, but it's not for people who want quiet evenings or lie-ins. In the pre-arrival info it says it's ok to load directly outside, however there are double yellow lines and we were accosted by a traffic warden when packing up. There are some free parking spaces up the road from North Beach a short walk away."

"This has the potential to be wonderful holiday accommodation, but has been let down by too many faults. The location is good and we were happy with the peace and quiet. However, the outside area was in need of some care and clearly dog owners need to clear up after their dogs. The kitchen area smelt of off-milk on arrival, and we were unable to remove the smell. The house was grubby and fixtures needed replacing and updating. Our biggest concern was that the house was not clean. There were dog hairs everywhere and we took 2 hours to give the house a good clean. We accept that this is dog-friendly accommodation, but that should not be an excuse for a lack of hygiene and cleanliness. There was also mold/mildew up the back wall of the bedroom that my son stayed in. I tried calling the contact number twice, but got no answer. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the internet connection excellent."

"We have stayed in two other cottages in the last four months in within a twenty mile radius of this cottage and they where far superior with a similar price bracket. The kitchen and bathroom where decent, a lot of windows had misted double glazing, the window dressings where dated and the bedroom only had a blind which didn't keep the light out, bathroom had a window overlooking neighbours with no blind fitted. The radiator in bedroom and bathroom where rusted. The garden was unkempt and in the back garden was metal, pots and bricks dumped. The cleaning lady who showed us into the property and took £ 150.00 deposit was excellent and very friendly. We feel the deposit fee should be clearly stated near the photograph with the details of the property."

"That was a really great place!!! Good facilities in a great cottage in a lovely location. Host Rodger was charming and pointed out ‘places to go’. An interesting walk to the beach (about 15 mins, through church yard and fields. Dog loved it, but she really loved the beach – sand and shallow sea – ideal doggy location. Came home a bit early due to heavy rain tomorrow but other days were wall to wall sunshine. Rodger not at home when we left so popped a soggy note through his letter box. Great break and now planning next visit. Julie – THANKS!!! Best wishes Joyce, Terry and Jangle dog Cole"
