"We had a lovely time over Christmas at S27044 a beautiful cottage inside and out great space for a family and dog to enjoy .The welcome pack was a lovely touch including a bottle of fizz and treats for Lucy our dog making the start of our Christmas break so relaxing thanks.Heating on for us arriving and the cottage was warm throughout our stay the wood burning stove in use throughout our whole stay and with a large co-op in Anstruther if more logs as required as we found out . With such a fully equipped kitchen not a thing did I need to bring down to led candles for our table.Dinner was so easy to prepare and cook and such a spacious area to sit and all enjoy around the table. Great location to explore the surrounding area and managed to find the local pub for a much needed refreshment after some fresh sea air .If i was to be a little critical it could be doing with a deep clean in some areas corners and skirtings and no sheet on 1 of the double beds, needing a wee bit of attention but as my dad said it adds to the cosy cottage character .A must for all large bedrooms and a very homely feeling as soon as you enter S27044 would recommend and hopefully will manage another visit sometime in the future"

"This is a beautiful holiday house, wish the weather had allowed us to use the garden. All the fixtures and fittings ideal. Really comfortable bed downstairs. We used this house as a bungalow and it was superb for us. On wet days (yes every day unfortunately) it was lovely to come back to a warm and clean house. Easy to park outside. 2 lovely cafes, fish & chip shop, general store and a wonderful bakers in the next street, what more could you want. Lovely walks to St. Monans for a Lobster takeaway salad and Potato Salad at the Smokery. Nice meal at The Larach Mohr on the harbour front and very dog friendly, everywhere we went with Shani (the greyhound) she was given a treat. Easy walk to Anstruther and a further 10 mins to Cellardyke. Lovely meal also at The Ship in Elie, not forgetting the Golf Hotel in Crail, both dog friendly. We had a lovely holiday at S27044 and very secure for Shani. Would come back again in the future."

"On arrival on a snowy Saturday afternoon, the cottage felt nice and warm however once unpacking was done and sat down to relax we realised it was not as warm as we thought. Although we turned up the thermostats on the radiators it still felt cool, particularly in the bedrooms and bathroom. Further investigation revealed that their was air in the system and the radiators needed bleeding as there was no key to this we phoned the owners who came round and sorted the system out and we had no problems after that. The disappointment was that as we were only the 2nd letting of the year and the weather was particularly cold. that the property had not been checked to ensure all was in order.Besides this we find the cottage to be nice and peaceful, good location for visiting relatives and Lomomd Hills Hotel for a pleasant meal."

"The cottage was in a great location and the village of Pittenweem has everything you need for a relaxing stay by the coast, including a general store, pharmacy and some lovely cafe's.Unfortunately the cottage was not particularly clean on our arrival, the dishwasher was full of dirty pots and had not been run and their was lots of dog hair on the floor. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom had a damp musty smell that we couldn't get rid of despite frequent airing and the bathroom is requiring modernisation. The lounge is cosy and log burner a welcome addition, however be mindful that the seal between the burners flu and the ceiling is not intact and leaks when it rains.Overall a nice stay but disappointed with the level of cleanliness, the photographs on the website raise expectation but the cottage doesn't deliver."

"Our second stay in S27044 in glorious Pittenweem, the cottage is central to the village centre (one street away) quiet and clean, if I were to pick a point, it would be the toilet flush in the main bathroom, which is very loose, I know these are nearly impossible to fix/source now, but you feel like it is going to break. Anyway, that's a minor. Everyone is very friendly, good communication from the owner, the next door neighbour really looks after you with the bins etc.If the cottage was not good, we would not have stayed again and as East Neuk just keeps surprising with the amount to do, we hope we will stay again another year. We will definitely "..haste ye back.." asap!"
