What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Wifi In Barlow To Rent.

Mr Allen - verified booking

"We found the photos of the front room on the website deceptive in that it made the front room look a lot bigger than it was. The downstairs was so small almost unusable especially if you had a young child. None of the top floor beds had linen on. We booked the whole cottage not just one floor! My wife was not feeling well so we needed the extra bed. Was forced to contact owner. I asked for an extra tray and dish rack as there was no dishwasher we needed the dish rack so plates etc could dry which they didn't without. What annoyed us was this request was ignored and we had quite a blunt text back saying linen would be left for us....but we shouldn't have had to ask! We had no welcome from owners. Signage to where park car needs replacing as you can't see it. Wasn't made clear in description that owners house was literally opposite. We had to put blinds down each day as anyone who walked past would stare in! Most mornings were quite noisy with either kids shouting on field behind us or some machinery work. Rooms need blinds to black out light! Bathroom and shower very good but need more hooks to hang towels."

"We were 2 friends with a little dog. On arrival just 1 room was made up but a quick call the owner who lived on the same site and more bedding appeared within minutes. The owner is a very friendly lady and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was well presented and beautiful. It is on a road but the road is not well used at night so lovely and quiet. We had the pleasure of seeing some lovely horses trot by on Sunday morning! Barlow is about a 30 min walk along the road and has 2 amazing pubs that serve food and both accept dogs. We did a great 15 mile walk on the Saturday and back to the cottage for a lovely (very hot!) shower. There are wall heaters x 3 which heated the cottage up very quickly and the thick walls kept the heat well - there was a wood burner in the lounge but we did not need top use this. All in all a great little cottage in a great location. Highly recommended."

"The cottage is small but thanks to a great deal of thought in its design is Hard is like in its ample space, and tasteful presentation. Everything needed is provided and all with that extra touch of class. The setting in Barlow is idyllic. As for local amenities there is a cafe just a minute away that provides meals of a standard far in excess of expectations. Just 100yards from the Barn is The Peacock at Barlow. This again is exceptional in its food, staff, ambience, and setting with views to die for! The Bar's hosts Fran and David couldn't have been more friendly, and approachable, nothing was too much trouble! In short a perfect break, in lovely accommodation, in perfect surroundings!"

Mr SteadMr Hudson - verified booking

"The cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable and easy to keep warm, an important feature when elderly parents (80+) are in residence. The owners had decorated the cottage for Christmas and there were welcome treats in the fridge (very nice touch). We would definitely consider returning to The Rumblings for future family holidays and would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family. Thanks for a great Christmas venue. However, my daughter visited from Oxford and really thought (as did we) that the property and the owners were superb and couldn't have been easier and better to deal with. Thanks to them and you for making a difficult week very much easier"
