"I was expecting a lodge in a holiday park but this little gem is nestled inbetween two lakes and with a third lake in the grounds. It was hard to find but we had the owner's phone number and had to ring for directions. However if the directions said the gated track next to the horse stud it would have been easier. It's one lodge and there is no outside/street lamps. But there is a sensor torch as you go in S101594(unfortunately we didn't arrive til after dark). It was a little scary at first as it was so dark and just couldn't see much.S101594 was really clean with freshly made beds. The owner had left us tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a box of chocolates which was a really nice touch. There was also cleaning products like fairy liquid, towels, tea towels and sponges to wash up with. It's very peaceful and the early morning views were stunning. A manual for the gas oven would have been good too. Luckily I managed to find one on the internet(it did have free wifi) but I'm used to electric oven and just couldn't get the main oven to work or it did and I wasn't sure it was working so we used the grill function. All in all it was a very beautiful ,spacious and warm lodge. I would recommend it but try and get there before dark as it'll be easier."

"Amazing short weekend break. We simply loved being there during lambing time and Amanda and Roy were perfect hosts. Full of exuberance, helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Their friendly greeting put us at ease immediately. On entering the cottage we found milk, fresh hens eggs and an amazing victoria sandwich cake waiting for us. All of which were very welcome. The wood burner was wonderful during the snowy weekend.Amanda and Roy took the trouble, at what is a very busy time for them, to show us the new born lambs, explaining a little about what is involved which was very interesting. Our son fed the sheep and also had the privileged of seeing the new born puppies. We saw woodpeckers, wagtails, deer in the pasture. Wildlife was plentiful.S15955 is an ideal base from which to explore Warwickshire. We found it a perfect place and wouldn't hesitate recommending S15955. We hope to be back as soon as possible. Simply a lovely weekend break."

"Very good and comfy bungalow, and excellent value for money. Fab kitchen/living room space with lots of comfy seats and a reasonably well equipped kitchen (some bigger pans would be good given the size of the property- but great to have so many glasses, mugs, etc). Great provision for babies/toddlers with socket covers, plastic glasses, etc. Hosts were really accommodating to our requests for extra things for the kitchen. The whole place is clearly new and nicely finished. We were there with two toddlers and noise was a bit a problem - with the kitchen/living room noise carrying very clearly to the bedrooms and noise between bedrooms carrying too (and so the babies kept waking each other). Also worth noting it’s right on a very busy road with no pavement - so any trip out requires a car. But both of these were very manageable and the garden is v secure for young kids to play in."

"This cottage has huge potential to be excellent. Sadly, the initial view on entering was of full dustbins, dirty, unusable garden furniture and peeling paintwork. Inside, children's books, toys (broken and incomplete) and puzzles were untidy and cobwebby. Built in cupboards were were untidy with tat. The kitchen was good, but equipment needed a complete sort. Bedrooms and linen were fine. The cottage is in an interesting village and very close to interesting places to visit. We'd love to return....but only if the cottage is given some 'love' and care. It is listed on several sites, but appears with different soft furnishings. Wifi ( listed as a feature) was non-existent .. The (absent) owner did try to help us over the phone, but it became clear that there was no dedicated wifi for the cottage...altogether a disappointing experience."

"A lovely welcome was given to us by Amanda and Roy to their delightful cottage, set in beautiful countryside. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable, with cake, fresh eggs and milk on arrival. We particularly appreciated that there were dishwasher tablets, extra toilet rolls and hand wash, which is not always provided at other holiday lets but makes all the difference. The cottage is close to many N.T. properties, Warwick and Stratford upon Avon, so many places within easy reach. After a day exploring it was lovely to return to the tranquillity of the cottage to watch the lambs playing and the chickens, not forgetting the lovely sheep dog with her mischievous puppies. We look forward to returning in the future."
