"Lovely cottage in a lovely location. The cleanliness of the cottage was let down by the strong musty smell in the kitchen. All basic requirements were met however the small extra touchs were missing eg. no iron or ironing board, nowhere in the bedroom to sit and dry your hair although there were 3 mirrors in the room there were no plug sockets near them therefore had to sit on the floor to dry your hair. Not enough towels for 3 people luckily we always take my own. Also an information folder would have been useful giving location of shops places to eat and places of interest to visit etc. The shower was very temperamental and only seemed to work if you ran the hot water tap on the sink at the same time, as we were only there for 3 nights it wasn't too much of an issue. The main negative for us was the owner who lived on site, who was very very particular about the gate on the drive being closed and told us he locked it at midnight and in fact was waiting on the drive with 2 large dogs ready to lock up at 10.30 pm when we returned from a night out. We have stayed in many many cottages over the years and have never had a curfew imposed on us!!! very strange. Finally 6 days after we had returned home we had a very rude phone call from the owner with a list of issues she wanted to discuss with us. Such a shame a lovely cottage spoilt by over zealous owners."

"Welsummer cottage is situated in an ideal location with the canal tow path only a short stroll away. The owners made us extremely welcome (including our dog) and nothing was too much trouble for them. It is one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed at, being spacious, light, tastefully furnished to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. The cottage, especially the kitchen, had everything you could need. The washing machine was shared and housed in another building although we didn't use it as we prefer not to wash and iron whilst on holiday. We much prefer to have a dishwasher provided in the kitchen which there was, and it appeared to be brand new. (No musty smell that can build up on some machines). The owners were very helpful without being intrusive and they provided a very useful much appreciated welcome pack, as well as brochures regarding the surrounding area. The cottage is set in secure grounds next to, but separated from the main house, and we had no worries regarding leaving our belongings when we went out for the day because the courtyard was protected by five-bar gates. After dark, for our added security, the owner locked these gates and provided us with a key in case we were late back. Our thanks to Elizabeth & Mike, we really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be returning."

"I was expecting a lodge in a holiday park but this little gem is nestled inbetween two lakes and with a third lake in the grounds. It was hard to find but we had the owner's phone number and had to ring for directions. However if the directions said the gated track next to the horse stud it would have been easier. It's one lodge and there is no outside/street lamps. But there is a sensor torch as you go in the lodge(unfortunately we didn't arrive til after dark). It was a little scary at first as it was so dark and just couldn't see much. The lodge was really clean with freshly made beds. The owner had left us tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a box of chocolates which was a really nice touch. There was also cleaning products like fairy liquid, towels, tea towels and sponges to wash up with. It's very peaceful and the early morning views were stunning. A manual for the gas oven would have been good too. Luckily I managed to find one on the internet(it did have free wifi) but I'm used to electric oven and just couldn't get the main oven to work or it did and I wasn't sure it was working so we used the grill function. All in all it was a very beautiful ,spacious and warm lodge. I would recommend it but try and get there before dark as it'll be easier."

"Beautiful village and accommodation generally good. Twin room unfortunately cramped with the combs. It was a bit dusty so had to vacuum on arrival. Space standards down stairs good and kitchen and lounge well equipped. It was beautiful weather for the week we were there and would have been ideal to have had a private area to sit outside. The outside space is situated at the front door which means sitting almost in the car park just a few metres away from several neighbours coming and going in their cars, some coming in just metres away at quite a speed. I hadn’t anticipated there was absolutely no private place to sit outside when I booked and felt this detracted from the enjoyment of a holiday property when the weather was perfect for bbq’s and being outside with family...we opted just to go out to eat instead. It might be worth mentioning that if you are taking a dog there is no garden and the property accesses unimpeded into a common car park and thoroughfare. Also the noise from the M40 is so unfortunate for the otherwise unspoilt Warmington."

"The Burrow is clean modern ,and fresh. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a smile by the owners daughter who was polite and friendly. She explained that both Amanda And Roy ( owners ) were very busy and were sorry they were unable to greet us. We were told that there was tea coffee sugar milk and eggs and a lovely plate of home made brownies inside for us.The burrow is well kept and maintained to a high standard and very clean. It has all the home comforts that you need whilst away. The bed is very comfortable with lovely pillows and there are plenty of fluffy towels as well. The patio is a great place to sit and have a relaxing drink and watch the sun go down after a long day of sight seeing. The burrow is in a great location for visiting Warwick Leamington Spa and Stratford all with a 15 min drive along with the Cotswolds a little further a field. Both Amanda and Roy are friendly and easy to get on with and it seems that they have made every effort to make your stay here is as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Many thanks for a great time."
