"We stayed in a S120902 lodge for 3 nights and would definitely go back.We received a friendly welcome and given our keys in a miniature metal suitcase as a keepsake which is a nice touch. Our parking was just opposite the lodge, we were immediately welcomed by the ducks getting out of our car, there really are loads of them! We bought some duck food from the reception which they literally eat out of your hand. Occasionally they would have a little waddle into our lodge! The lodge itself was clean and modern, the kitchen very well equipped with a big fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, oven/grill with electric hob, microwave, kettle & toaster. Lots of utensils, crockery, cutlery and various types of glasses (including champagne flutes). There was washing up liquid, sponge, cloth, dishwasher tablets etc already provided as well as some tea, coffee and hot chocolate etc. There was also a pint of fresh milk in the fridge and a bottle of chilled water. All very nice touches to help you settle in quickly. On the bed were several fresh towels (bath, hand & hot tub towels) as well as a couple of heavy thick bath robes and some slippers. The bedroom was more spacious than expected which made it seem a little odd that the bed was only a double rather than a king, the mattress and pillows were firmer than we're used to but seemed good quality so this comes down to personal preference. The bedroom had sliding patio doors leading to the decking at the rear of the lodge, this area is fenced off and private with a small table with 2 chairs and the all important hot tub. The hot tub was lovely, we spent quite a bit of time in there! It's also nice that the whole area is covered to keep the rain off.The bathroom was clean and modern with a powerful shower and spa bath. The sauna was off the bathroom, this needs to be turned on at least 45 minutes before you intend to use it but does heat up nicely, there's something satisfying about pouring water over hot coals! The living space is open plan with the kitchen & dining table, again this was plenty spacious enough for the 2 of us. The TV had a good choice of channels and there is a Wii console as well as a few board games (which we didn't use). The wifi had good signal through the whole lodge but the speed wasn't great, I managed to get around 1mbps however it was just about enough to stream Netflix on low quality. Just is just enough :o)My phone on EE managed to get limited 4g, my wife's Virgin Media sim however had no signal at all (voice or data). This isn't a negative against the park, just information for other potential guests.Out front there's a small table and 2 chairs which were nice to sit and watch the world go by (or the ducks anyway). Some of the lodges had bigger tables with more chairs so I have to assume these are bigger lodges with more bedrooms. The Duke of Cambridge pub which is basically attached to the holiday park was lovely, it has a nice big beer garden and even an outside bar area to save you having to go into the pub to get drinks. We couldn't resist ordering some loaded nachos to have with our drinks after seeing someone else have them. If you have kids with you then it's worth mentioning that the beer garden also has a play area. Also worth mentioning that we ordered a takeaway one night using just eat, this was delivered directly to our lodge. The area around the holiday park is very picturesque with pretty little bridges over streams and traditional red phone boxes etc, we didn't venture past the pub on foot but it's not easy to see that the walks must be lovely. We definitely plan to return one day, was a lovely way to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary!"

"This is our 4th stay at Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat, and we have absolutely loved most stays here, the surroundings/ lodges , peace & tranquility, and have always highly rated our experience. We usually book the Cobbett Contemporary with hot tub as it normally works out slightly cheaper but on this occasion as it was our anniversary we thought we would spend the extra and treat ourselves to the Traditional Cobbett Lodge with hot tub. We were very disappointed with this one (no.31), firstly could not understand why it worked out dearer, as the only difference is the decor and furniture (which looked rather old fashioned) and although this being the dearer of the two 1 bedroom accommodations it did not feel as private or as clean as previous stays/lodges, in fact it felt very outdated and very overlooked from all directions with a parking area situated right by our front door/entrance. Unfortunately that spoiled it a bit for us as we could not sit outside on a hot summer's evening due to other lodges overlooking and cars coming and going/ other guests staring in, so eventually we decided to sit indoors with curtains drawn which made the lodge even darker , as it already lacked an enormous amount of light.(Perhaps some roof lights in the lounge dining area would improve this?)We feel that the standard of the Cobbett Traditional was poor compared to the Contemporary and overall Tilford Woods (lodges) are looking extremely tired and in need of updating, the furniture felt dirty, uncomfortable and there was a very unpleasant smell. In the bedroom we noticed cob webs and dust everywhere, and the entire lodge smelt of pets. Our stay was no where near as good as previous years , over the last 5 years we have noticed that the hot tubs also need replacing with newer ones as none of the jets were working properly. The prices are very high compared to other parks with much newer lodges, modern furniture, comfortable beds + high spec jaccuzzi / hot tubs. We will go back, but only if the lodges undergo a major makeover and the hot tubs are replaced and prices dropped to reflect the current state/age of the accommodations."

"Excellent in every way. There were 6 of us. We enjoyed the home inside and outside with fantastic weather and a beautiful garden and patio attached to a quaint and cozy/comfy home. We used the kitchen as we would at home, making meals and baking scones and cakes.... Fully equipped kitchen. 6 of us there for 8 days made the washer and dryer a blessing too. It was essential to have a car out in the hamlet of Peasemore but what a delightful area. Village folk could not have been friendlier when we went for walks. Some showed us around the church, telling us the history, others directed us to the farm shop for fresh meats and vegetables... Good location to visit other places (Bath, Oxford, Newbury and more). We had an amazing holiday at S41826."

"Stayed at S45538 for a few days between Christmas and New Year. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and welcome hamper left by the owners was excellent, containing some additional seasonal items such as home made Christmas cake. There was also a small Christmas tree, complete with lights, and a book about Christmas Carols. The owners were helpful and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. They gave some good recommendations on local places to eat, and, as with previous Snaptrip accommodations, we would not hesitate to return here in the future. Perfect place to stay if you like country walks and peaceful surroundings!"

"The Ferry House is a fantastic home from home. In a stunning location, even better than we could've imagined, it's fully equipped with everything you could ever need. When you use self catering cottages, you often find lots of gaps in kitchen equipment etc, but not here. The bonus for us was the fishing jetty at the bottom of the garden, bathed in sunshine and just waiting to be used! Perfect for sipping a glass of wine and watching the comings and goings on the river Thames."
