"Arrived and opened the door Wow i said this is amazing Every room decorated to a high standard TV in kitchen lounge and both double rooms Very comfortable and breath taking views would recommend to others and we will be back Thanks to the owners for wine, bread tea coffee and sugar milk in fridge and some other items in cupboard although did not use muchWould stay here again in the future. Very hilly in Ventnor, but we all benefited from the exercise we were forced to do. Children flew kites while the adults watched from the many places to sit and eat on the seafront. We were blessed with perfect weather for our late October holiday. Thank you to the owners of St Joseph’s for a great place to stay, and to Sykes Cottages for arranging the holiday for us.The price advertised was what you paid. Will use this company again."

"Its bright & spacious living area was perfect for us and the views were fantastic. We were blessed with good weather so we enjoyed the peace and quiet to the full and the night skies were amazing. It would have been nice to have been able to open both sets of patio doors to allow the breeze in on hot afternoons. A thermostatic shower mixer tap over the bath in the main bathroom would be a really useful addition as we had to wait to shower until the main bedroom was clear. The bathroom floor looks rather in need of replacement. The rest of the accommodation was great especially the new carpet throughout which was lovely. There was a distinct drain aroma from the kitchen which was rather unpleasant and pervaded the whole living area and needs to addresses ASAP."

"A very small basic cottage not really suitable for a disabled person. The facilities within the cottage were inadequate, the shower was tight to get into and leaked, the dining table and chairs were small, metal and uncomfortable and the conservatory furniture was shabby and sagged. We did have fantastic weather and really enjoyed Ventnor. The cottage was ideally situated for touring the island and visiting the many antique shops and eating establishments. I am sure ideal too for able bodied visitors as the coastal path and local bays looked very beautiful even though we could not walk down to them."

"We were a bit disappointed with the cottage. The sitting room /conservatory was very small and very hot. The kitchen has nowhere to put food or anywhere to prepare meals and as this is advertised as self-catering you would expect to be able to do these things. I am not a large person but if I was the shower room would be a nightmare. The whole place is tired and needs a good clean, just because we have a dog that doesn't mean we are not clean and my small dog is well trained. I spent my first day cleaning. The only good thing about the cottage was the location."
