What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Vale Of White Horse District To Rent.
Mrs Ann Winch, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire - verified booking
"The cottage was so warm and friendly when we walked in on a blustery, wet evening. A Christmas tree was lit in the large, comfortable lounge. It was a family gathering for us and everyone loved the cottage, including the two young children. Situated on the banks of the Thames, the cottage has wide open views across the countryside. Bird life is plentiful. All enjoyed riverside walks as well as the easy access to Oxford. The Trout Inn opposite gave us all a warm welcome, as well as excellent food at good prices. "
Mr Maddocks - verified booking
"Big spacious rooms and a beautifully tended garden. Well equipped and we were left a generous range of welcome food. So lots of positives. However when we arrived the temperature inside the house was several degrees colder than the outside (even in January) and it took us 36 hours to get it up to 14 C. It was only on the 3rd and final night that we got the temperature to a comfortable level. The log fire in the lounge was great but we couldn't find a wood pile and there were only a few logs ..."

"Likes Nice property in excellent location Impressive range of equipment and appliances - (no chopping board) Good enclosed small garden for the dogs and off-road parking right outside the property Niggles Shower was broken – (not the right head for the shower (not enough pressure)) Toilet seats need tightening Gate needs adjusting as very heavy to keep lifting up to shut No internet available for our whole stay – connected to wifi - but no internet We found the sofas uncomfortable"
Mrs Stephanie Dale, Rowland's Castle, - verified booking
"Really lovely cottage - clean, well decorated and equipped, no expense spared, all modern appliances. Also spacious kitchen and diner and living room, very comfortable, warm and cosy. Lovely to be able to use the very good canoe and even life jackets provided. Right on the river and you can walk along the Thames path in either direction. Lovely area for walking and we enjoyed our visit to Kelmscott Manor."
Van Zuyle - verified booking
"Sonia was a very accommodating host. There was a clothes washing machine in the cottage and she let us hang things out on her clothes line.\ The location was central to the things we were visiting: family in Wantage, the Vale of the White Horse, and Avebury Circle. We walked down to The Eagle one night for.drinks and another night for a very nice restaurant meal. Mrs Van Zuyle, July 2017.\"
