"Our initial reaction to the property was it looked clean and a good size. The fitted kitchen was clean and very well equipped with plenty of basics like plates and cups but also had a good stock of casserole dishes, utensils, and pans. But the hob was a nightmare to work as the settings have rubbed off so no idea which hob plate was on or at what setting. The oven is the same but there were instructions in the drawer for it so that was manageable. The fridge was the same, could not get a happy medium with it and as the door on the freezer section was broken off it tended to freeze all the food we had in the fridge. The lounge was bright and airy with a big window over looking the harbour, but the window did not open and was stuffed with paper and black bags I assume to keep the rain out. This made for a very warm lounge when the sun shone as no means of venting. The smoke alarm did not have a battery in, which I pointed out to the owner, and he said it was electrical but he was aware it was faulty and needed repaired. A handy cupboard contained a lot of useful tourist leaflets and a few books and dvd's. The bedroom again appeared clean but I dropped something and had to move the bed to get it out and it was very dusty and full of dog hairs underneath. All the pictures could have done with a dust and there was a layer of surface dust on all the surfaces. Plenty of cupboard and drawer space to unpack for your stay. Bedding was all clean and looked fairly new, bed was uncomfortable with springs digging into me. Towels provided were a great size ( bath sheets) . The bathroom again was clean apart from some mould on the silicone sealer and a fine layer of dust. The bathroom has the back door that gives access to the back garden.Shared back door was a great area though one of the bench sets looked past its best with rotten wood on spars and table top. Did not see a barbecue ( but would not have used it anyway). The free £10 of electricity was more than enough, think we went through less than £5 of it. The owners were friendly and approachable. Offered me a use of the phone to call my daughter as there is no mobile signal in the village. The location was stunning."

" ...apartment is spacious, warm, very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Even in mid February we managed breakfast on the balcony one morning and the views across Newquay Bay were beautiful, including some lovely sunsets. Lovely welcoming touches were the vase of fresh flowers on the table and milk in the fridge, along with coffee, teabags and sugar so we could have a hot drink on arrival after a very long and difficult journey down in horrendous weather conditions. We had a slight blip with no hot water on our first day there but a phone call to Alice, the local rep, and the problem was sorted in no time. These glitches can happen in any property but the way in which it was handled could not be faulted and I should like to say a special thank you to Alice for her warmth, friendliness and efficiency. All four of us are agreed that we shall definitely be booking another holiday at S76729 in the future, and will be happy to recommend your company to other family and friends. "Comfortable sofas, hot powerful shower, efficient controllable heating, beautiful view over harbour from large south west facing window. We arrived in the worst weather but S23127 was warm and welcoming. We were able to sit and watch the waves crashing on the rocky beach directly in front of our window. We were fortunate in that the sun came out for most of the rest of the week and we were able to enjoy exploring the slate islands using the frequent and reasonably priced ferries. We had expected to use ellanbeich as a base to explore further afield but we found plenty to do near by, walking and exploring. (Kerrera island, Easdale island, Luing island, Crinnian canal). The house itself was reasonably well equipped with pans, casserole dishes etc. but if you intend to cook take a sharp kitchen knife, the oven and hob take a bit of getting used to. If not the Oyster bar pub is just across the road and serves excellent food, as good if not better than anywhere.Would we stay there again? Yes, in a heartbeat."

" ...young children and my parents. The apartment was fabulous. Very spacious, each bedroom was huge. The living area had bi-folding doors leading to a balcony with superb sea views. The balcony caught the sun in the mid/late afternoon and was a great place to sit and watch the world go by and ultimately the sun setting. The location was excellent, close enough for young children and elderly grandparents to walk into town without the noise of being in the very centre. The facilities were excellent, we have stayed in a number of apartments and villas both at home and abroad and this was as well equipped (or better) as every one that we have visited before. There is only one allocated parking space, and we had two cars but there were plenty of available spaces right outside the apartment block that either grandad or I could use. We will visit Newquay again soon and if this apartment is available then we would definitely rebook it. Submitted by Alan on 27/04/2014 "

" ...from a very relaxing holiday at 20 Belvedere Apartments, Paignton. The apartment was easily the best we have ever stayed in. Stunning views, spotlessly clean, spacious and quiet. 2 bathrooms and very spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage. Wifi, TV & DVD player very handy. Kitchen had everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Easy to access - with 2 small children the stairs would have been a challenge but no problem with a lift! Parking right outside. Located right on the sea front and with very easy access to Paignton it is so suited to young families like mine. The owner, Derrick, made us feel very welcome on arrival and everything was hassle free. We were sad to leave and hope to return again another year. Thank you. Submitted by Alison on 02/11/2014 "
