"If you're looking for a quiet, get away from it all break, The Watertower is ideal. We had an extremely relaxing week. The property is small, but perfectly adequate for two people. The interior is modern and finished to high standard. Unusually for a place of this standard, there is no WiFi and phone signal is poor. I wood recommend doing a thorough online search of the local area for attractions and eateries before you arrive. The bedroom has a very substantial 4 poster bed which provides a very comfortable nights sleep, however, it is quite high. This means getting in and out over side rails can be quite awkward, although a small step stool is provided. That said, we wouldn't have the slightest hesitation in booking a return visit."

"Exactly what I needed after knee surgery at the McIndoe Centre. The cottage is really cosy and comfortable and really well equipped. Joan and Jim are lovely people - very welcoming and helpful. We really appreciated the gift of a bottle of fizz and cakes - so thoughtful. The cottage was the perfect place for me to recover from my knee replacement - lying on the comfy bed with the bedroom door open, listening to the birdsong, was just what the doctor ordered. Such a beautiful and peaceful place with gorgeous grounds - perfect for hobbling around on crutches."

"More than I thought it was going to be, well exceeded my expectations, better than it showed in the photo. Very clean, especially the bathroom, nicely furnished (Laura Ashley). Amazing views, comfy bed, however if like me you are 5ft 2" then climbing in and out of bed, even with the use of the footstool caused some hilarity (if everything else fades over the years, this certainly won’t)So much to see and do in the area, played pooh sticks and would really recommend Hever Castle. The only downside was that the 2 nights we had booked was not enough. June 2011."

"For many reasons, it is important for our family to stay in touch. We did not realize how frustration it would be to not have wifi for a week.Although the four-poster bed is dramatic, it is impossible to get in to without bruises. The property owner added a step stool on one side and a rug under the foot stool to keep it from sliding. There is no light over the bathroom mirror. The location was great. The restoration is lovely. The countryside is beautiful. With the addition of two step-stools. a mirror light and wifi, The Watertower would be perfect."

"We loved this apartment. The setting was lovely with deer in the surrounding grounds. It was very well equipped and all the fixtures and fittings were of the highest standard. The owners were very helpful and welcoming without being intrusive and left us a lovely welcome pack including fresh eggs and a bottle of wine. The surrounding countryside is lovely too, with many National Trust properties, and the south coast is not far away. One of the best cottage breaks we have had."
