"The house was exactly like the photos showed and what we wanted. Sally was helpful in letting us have the keys earlier than 4pm and very knowledgeable about the area. Also showing how to get the best from the house, washing machine, heating etc.The reasons I marked the house down slightly is due to the noise of cars coming in to the main bedroom window, double glazing would help this. The road appeared busy for workers getting to work early in the mornings, busier than we were expecting.Previous tenants had not cleaned one of the pans in the oven so when we heated the oven up, this set off the smoke alarm, so can guarantee that was working. The second bedroom did not have much storage area. There were nice little touches like flowers and a pint of milk left which we appreciated.Across the bridge, 2mins away was the Woodbridge Inn who were helpful, dog friendly and served great food.Ironbridge was 2.5 miles walk away following the river and taking this route also lead you to the Tile museum (worth a visit). it was approximately 5 mins to drive so great to get to all the local attractions. This is the first time I have used this site but will do so again as found it easy to book and get what you expected."

"Each time we have been warmly welcomed. The welcome gifts were greatly appreciated. The view was spectacular especially on the cold frosty morning as we watched the mist lift and the wonders unfold. We walked into a warm cosy house well-lit inside and out, as we arrived around 9.45p.m. Host who take pride in their cottage and try to ensure their 'guest' have a wonderful time. We felt at 'home' . Our sanctuary - the place where we are creating precious memories with family. Well equipped. Wonderful location - good base for exploring local areas. Each time we are learning/discovering new things. Fascinating bird-watching opportunities. Spent many hours in the conservatory reading and chilling. There is so much to see and do on the doorstep - Rosehill / Darby Houses, Blisthill (beef dripping chips, on hand experience of life in Victorian times, fireworks display), Tile Museum, China Museum and not forgetting Half Moon Public House - meals were outstanding, with top class friendly service (highly recommend), craft & antique centre and lovely tearooms. Ideal for walkers. Already counting the days to our next visit in June 2017."

"We are a family of 2 adults and 2 young children and We had the most wonderful and memorable time at S77519, from the moment that we arrived at this warm and cosy home we found it very well presented and to a very high standard. We have stayed in many cottages/homes over the past years and months and this place really has something special and it ticks all the boxes for us!It’s located on the grounds of Chillington Hall Estate and you will find that S77519 is very private with a long driveway that leads to the property set in an attractive land with woodlands. We loved the privacy aspect of this place, because it gives you the sense that S77519 truly is yours for the time that you spend there! The owners and team had made such a good effort to cater for our needs in every way with the well made comfy beds to the provided toiletries, DVD’s, books, kitchen utensils and good free wifi connection. We are planning to visit and stay at this wonderful place again real soon!"

"A compact historic cottage within walking distance across the Severn on the Coalport bridge to the riverside Woodbridge Inn. Several other pubs are within walking distance. Ironbridge and associated museums are within easy reach and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The cottage is comprehensively equipped and generously provisioned and we received a very warm welcome from Sally the caretaker. The cottage was indeed the Old Tollhouse for the Coalport Bridge (there is an interesting historic photo in the cottage showing the old toll gate across the road just outside) which is a useful clue to locating it if you overshoot!"

"We stayed here in March and although the weather was not good the cottage was warm with plenty of hot water. There was a problem with a smell of oil from the boiler, but we were warned about this a couple of days in advance. We were left a bottle of wine as an apology, but a discount might have been more appropriate as it was quite unpleasant. Otherwise, I would have rated this cottage higher. I'm sure it's been fixed now. Lovely quiet setting, very nice furnishings, although the day bed in the dressing room off the master bedroom could do with a better mattress, then it would be perfect."
